My husband was at Chautauqua Rehabilitation And Nursing Center for rehab. It was owned by our county, but then it was privatized and a different company took over. Things seemed to have changed since they took over. It was not as good as it used to be. It was a shame because a lot of people are housed there for the rest of their lives. The food wasn't too bad; however, a lot of times the residents didn't get what they ordered. A lot of the staff was very good. For the most part, their attitude was average, but I had to get somebody to assist my husband in whatever needs he had. There was one nurse that should have sent my husband to the hospital because he had a 105 temperature. He almost went septic on me because he wasn't given the attention that he needed right away. Another thing with the PT guy that was there: he was supposed to bump into my husband to try and make him fall to see if he could get his balance. In one of these exercises, my husband did fall and the guy pulled him up with a strap that they had around him and it caused a big hematoma.
