The Park – Heritage Ministries

My mom is staying in The Park - Heritage Ministries for rehab. They are helping here with just day-to-day tasks. She broke both of her arms, so they're helping her get dressed, go to the bathroom, up and down stairs, and things like that. It's very comparable to my uncle's home, and he gets a lot more money. To me, it's very comparable to that as far as the updates and the cleanliness. He does get around-the-clock care, whereas this place doesn't have any medical staff. But if we get to that point, we might have to move her. I don't like it at all. It's old, they're short of staff, and to me, it's awful. I was there the other day, and for supper they got an egg salad sandwich with some fruit. And that to me is not supper. They're out of stuff a lot. For a whole weekend they had no milk or coffee. They forget stuff like utensils, say, "I'll be right back," and then never come back. They have a few activities to keep them busy.

My father-in-law is currently doing a 20-day rehabilitation. He is at Heritage Park. Everyone has been very helpful and very friendly. He seems to be enjoying his stay there. They moved quickly to get him in; they were very flexible in getting him situated. He seems very happy. He is eating well. I would recommend them. We have had a good experience so far.
