"Well when I first found out that my friend would now have to be admitted to a nursing home I was very skeptical that would adjust in such a positive way. I visit my friend on a daily basis at different times of the day. On all occasions I have been very impressed with the care and kindness of the staff. I was just there today and they had a wonderful celebration for fat Tuesday with a special dessert and a great singer and the people were having such a great time. You can see the people that work there are very genuine in there feelings for the residents. This is not the first time that I have enjoyed the activities. They have many activities that the residents can take part in every day if they care to, When I ask my friend how she is doing, she says I can't complain.. she's 94 and and been my friend for over 30 years. When I leave her it makes me feel so happy that she's happy and well taken care of. Is it perfect, well when you hit that age and there's a loving smile thats the closest you can get to perfect. Keep up the good work."

"They reached out to me. We stopped in and visited my step daughter last month, a couple of days after I put on for the website to get information about her. I did get a hold of them and was able to go down and see her. Everything went well with the visit. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My step daughter's room was very nice. It was spacious. I believe they take good care of her there. There's nothing more I can ask for. They're doing their job. It seems the residents there are well taken care of and it was a clean facility. "

"I would absolutely recommend The Grand at Barnwell Nursing Home. My husband was there for over five weeks, in physical therapy recovery. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They have an advanced rehabilitation program which helped my husband to get motivated, mobile and walk again! My husband’s stay on the 3rd floor was a pleasant surprise. The staff were responsive, helpful, very funny and so patient with my husband. A shout out to the aides on the 3rd floor, especially to Abraham and Adrian! They are so kind and very funny. They made a difficult time so much easier with kindness and a keen sense of humor; both took the time to make sure that my husband was comfortable and comforted, particularly when he was having bad days. They helped with showers, made certain he had a proper diet, and would often check in on him to see what he needed. And no matter how many times my husband needed to be more comfortable in bed with pillows or supports (he asked for help a lot!), they always responded promptly with compassion and kindness. I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly. They greeted us with a hello and a friendly smile. They made a stressful time so much easier; they explained to me what was happening with my husband’s care, what to expect and what needed to be done. Barnwell was wonderful to my husband myself and my family. I am forever grateful for their kind care and compassion."

"My aunt was recently admitted and we immediately felt welcomed. Before she arrived, staff members came up to me and introduced themselves. The admissions staff was very receptive to her situation which made a great difference. Upon arriving to the facility she did not have any clothes with her because she arrived via hospital. The staff made sure she had clean clothes for the next few days until I was able to bring her own. The entire staff took care of my aunt as if she was part of their family. I highly recommend this facility !"

"This is a rather clean and well run home. The exterior facade is rather dull yet I found the inside is quite lovely. The employees are a pleasant bunch and are quite attentive. Whilst they work at a brisk pace they seem quite happy as they busy about with daily chores. The infirmed are noticeably content in their surroundings. "

"My friend is staying at Fairview Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and so far, the staff has been cooperative and have kept me informed because, with COVID, you're not able to see the whole facility. I haven't seen the room itself, we just go to a visiting room. He thinks the food is good, so that's encouraging and I know they have movies and things like that. The facility looks clean also."

"I placed my beloved dad here . Can't say enough about how caring, compassionate and loving the staff is. They communicate everything with the family making sure all of his needs are met nursing, sw, activites ,therapies , housekeeping, nutrition are a team they have a vibrant heathy environment keeping our loved one stimulated and adding quality to his life. Always clean , meals are delightful. Administration must be on top of and invested in there employees there's always a smile from staff and they look happy doing there job any day or time we visit . Tough decision to place a loved one but never felt more confident in making the decision. Thank you Renaissance for making such a difficult decision a truly warm and compassionate expierence!"

"My paternal Grandmother spent the last three years at her life at Nobel Horizons. Living just up the street, I visited her often and overall, found it quite favorable. The campus was stunning. The grounds consisted of several acres, beautiful sculptures and landscaping, as well as three different living options. Along the boarder of Nobel were the solo living mini houses. Each house had its own porch and entry, as well as a small one car garage. The facility itself consisted of a ward for the patients in need of more daily attention, and a smaller more intensive ward at the north end. The dining situation was above par, and whenever I visited my grandmother, we were set up in a beautiful private dining area to have a private visit for no additional cost. Nobel often held holiday parties from Halloween to a noon New Year celebration. The only big problems I had with this place was the lack of sincere care from the nurses (which is to be expected and why I made an effort to visit as often as possible), and the lack of gym facilities where my grandmother could have lightly exercised when she wanted. "

"I visited Good Samaritan, and I wasn't interested after I found out how much it was. There is no way my father could afford it. It was very nice, and they had everything that you could possibly want, but you had to pay for it. The dining room seemed really nice, it was clean, and the tables were all set up. "

"The staff are so nice here. Iacia is the best CNA and she always treats me well. Also, Michelle is very good to me. Pearl is the best activities director I love her, she always invites me personally."
