I went to The FASNY Firemen's Home. It's more of a skilled nursing facility and my aunt is not ready for that yet and that's a lot more expensive. It was originally started for retired firemen. It was a very good experience. The problem with that place is there's a waiting list. It's like 9-12 months to get in. I like the location, the care, it's small, and the staff. I didn't check out the food, but I've known other people that have sent their loved ones there and they loved it as well. The staff was very friendly and very informative. The building was very nice. It's been remodeled, so it's nice and clean. The outdoor was nice. It's in a very nice setting and The Firemen's Museum is attached to it, so a lot of people visit there. They're very accommodating.
