What I liked about Glenmont Abbey Village was the sense of community they had. You could see there were a lot of people, women mostly that I saw that were walking around together. I like the amenities that they had, the game room, and the activities that they had scheduled. There are quite a few things that you could do almost every day of the week if you wanted to be there. You can have your social activities and not have to go out and drive or anything like that. The other thing I liked is my son lives right down the road. I didn't see any outdoor things that were available. Everything was indoors. The staff said they had a garden, but she didn't show it to me. It was raining, so that's probably why. I went inside two of the units. The units were nice and looked comfortable. I've been to places where they provide you with a storage area where you can put things. There was no storage there. You had one closet where your coats go and everything and then there was a closet in the bedroom. It was a good size. The one place I went, the elevator was outdoors, so you had your own entranceway, which I kind of liked better. This place you had to walk out of hallways and there's your room. The other thing that I didn't appreciate was, that you put your trash outside of your door on the day it's collected and they come by and pick it up and I'm like, that's nice. Then when I looked at the paperwork you have to pay for that every month that someone comes and takes your trash. It wasn't that much every month, but I didn't think that was appropriate to charge me for that.

I toured Glenmont Abbey Village. It was very nice, but the room they had available was just too far from the central activities, and it would be an outdoor walk for my mother-in-law. So, that just wouldn't have worked. It was a lovely place. They had great amenities. I believe they had the pool, and they had classes. The staff was very professional and very friendly. The building seemed very clean, and the room was very nice. They had a washer and dryer, refrigerator, stove, and microwave.

I toured Glenmont Abbey Village. I was looking for a one-bedroom, one-bath, and they didn't have any one-bedroom, one-bath available to show me, so they showed me a two-bedroom, two-bath. The grounds are beautiful. The apartment was lovely. The people were very friendly, and the amenities were okay. I did not like the fact that they give you a price for the month for your rent and then they add another $300 on top of that for fees you have to pay monthly, which I did not care for. So the rent is not what they say they rented, which I found to be very deceiving. I asked them to call me when they had a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment available, and they told me to get on the waiting list to see it, which would cost me $500, and I said, 'No, thank you.' And that ended the tour. They also charge $3 a month for pest control and $165 for a garage. You have to pay for your own cable. You have to pay for your own gas and electricity, and they told me everything was included.

The staff at Glenmont Abbey Village are very professional, very helpful, and very friendly. It seemed to us like it's a really nice community, a place to be. It actually seemed very, very nice, very homey, and clean, but I needed something with a two-bedroom, not a one, and also I needed something on the first floor because the apartments were mainly on second floors, and I'm claustrophobic. So, I can't do elevators all the time, and I would have to do an elevator every day if I wanted to stay there. That was a downfall to me, not the place itself, except for maybe the square footage of it. Everything I saw actually was very nice, even the people that lived in the building that we saw along our way of touring the place were very friendly. They went out of their way to try to accommodate us and they kept in touch with me. I can honestly say they were amazing people.

I liked the way it was set up. It seemed like a real more friendly atmosphere. The tour was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly, nice, and easy to talk to. They have all kinds of things going on. They got a pool, gym, theater, and games. So, it looked very nice.

It was beautiful; I liked it. They have no rooms available, though. The people were very nice. They showed us the clubhouse, the pool, the workout room, and the things around it during the tour. We saw an apartment in the independent living into which a lady was just moving. They allowed us to look and it was very nice. It's a very nice, beautiful place, but there is no availability.

We will be moving in. It just fit our needs, and we felt very comfortable there. The staff was very, very accommodating, very friendly, and we just felt very comfortable. The rooms were very nice, and just like what we were looking for.
