"My sister and I visited Friendship Manor. The facility itself was very accommodating. It was very clean. As a matter of fact, it was a growing facility and it was quite large. The staff was very gracious. They answered our questions. They were very understanding of the difficulty to move your parents. I thought the people there were happy. The apartment seemed very pleasant. It would be a progressive need facility. So, when they were in the independent and they would need full care, they could move as needed. It was very good. I thought they fit for what they offered. "

"I would like to compliment, Jill, your activites director. She does a really good job caring for the residents. She is always planning things for them to do. She is always helping people. She is always fun to be with. Jill cares for the residents and does all she can for them. My husband George appreciates all she does for him and he enjoys the activities she plans. Jill goes up and beyond her job."

"My husband has been at The Ivy for almost 2 years. The Staff has been Great! He's now Full Assist and The Staff meets his every need! They keep an eye on him 24/7. Even though he can no longer talk, that doesn't matter to The Staff. They treat him with respect & talk with him every time they walk by. I don't know what we would have done without The Ivy's care!"

"My aunt moved into Bettendorf Health Care Center. We chose this facility because of the friendliness of the people. The facility was clean and small. They have lots of activities for my aunt to do. The food was very pleasant. They are actually in the middle of improvement. I would recommend them."

The CNAs and nurses have made my stay comfortable and pleasant when healthcare stays seem frightening. I would always choose ManorCare for my rehab needs!"

"My dad was at Genesis Center for rehab. It is in a local hospital. The staff was good. The food is alright, he didn't complain too much. The facility is real nice. There's good beds, TV channels and it's clean.The layout was good. It's just a 1-bedroom and 1-bathroom. They're real good, excellent and the insurance covers it all."

"I volunteered at this facility years ago to provide additional companionship to the residents. This is a beautiful facility and would be my first choice should I need to place my mother in care someday. The grounds are meticulously maintained and beautiful. One aspect that really struck me during my visits was how beautiful the flowers and bushes were. Many residents enjoy going out and about in the spring and summer. They seemed to really enjoy the outdoors that is available to them right on the grounds. The indoors were just as well kept and pleasing to the eye as the outdoors. There's quite a home-like feel to this facility, which is always one of the goals of a facility such as this. Their staff were amazing people and genuinely seemed to care about the residents and their well-being. The staff members were there to address any concerns or ideas that the residents had. For example, a few residents thought it would be a great idea to have a craft group once a week. This was implemented into the schedule and the residents really seemed to have a lot of fun with it. They also engaged in Bingo night. Additionally, they had an exercise group that was open to all residents, accepting of limitations individuals might have. Also, they were able to have access to mental health services should they develop a need or an interest in such services. I also found it good that they had their own transportation buses that would take them wherever they needed to go. We had a really fun time riding around and viewing the beautiful displays of lights during the holiday season, which they do every year. I would recommend this facility highly! "

"I am going to Ridgecrest. I have put down a deposit. It is excellent. The room is adequate for my needs. They will allow me to bring my dog. Those are important things to me. The vibes are good. The dining room is lovely. It is a welcoming community. They re-do the rooms when they get new members. They provide one meal a day, and the washing machine is available for the residents' use."

"Everything was excellent at Kahl Home. I thought it was really well-run. The rooms were spacious enough. They served good food in a nice dining room. They have arts and crafts, bingo, card games, exercise, chair aerobics, and physical therapy as some of their activities. The facility is very well-staffed. The ratio of patient to staff was low. They provide 24-hour care too. "

"I liked the rooms and the price at Davenport Lutheran Home very much. It was more reasonable than any other place. I liked the fact that you could go from one level to another. I met with one person who was very friendly, nice and gave me the information I needed."

"My father was at Hammond Henry Nursing for rehabilitation. It's very new. The staff was compassionate and unbelievably excellent. My father was kind of unusual. He praised everybody for everything they did and thanked them profusely. If somebody gave him a bath, he said he'd tell them what was so wonderful about that bath. He appreciated so much everything everybody did for him, and he wanted them to know it. It's a smaller facility, and they probably gave better one-on-one care. My dad did not like the food there, though. But he was a connoisseur of food. He wanted salt and he wanted flavor. The nursing staff were incredibly helpful and compassionate. They guided us immensely. We didn't know what to expect, but they really gave us great guidance. They did a very nice job. Dad came back there on a hospice program. He was practically on his death bed saying thank you to the staff. He saw a human being in them and not a worker. And in turn they just bent over backwards for him. He died there last September. "

"My dad moved into Allure of Geneseo. I liked that you've got somebody that they watch over 24/7. My father was diagnosed with dementia about three years ago, and he can't remember three minutes ago. I do like the care that he received. The staff rotates a lot. I don't see the same person, but I might see them every couple of weeks. Usually, I see different people all the time. The structure is solid and very clean. They clean his apartment almost daily. They've got bingo, arts and crafts. They've got stuff to keep them busy all day. The layout is nice. They've got several emergency exits but there's one door that allows you in and out of that floor. The size of his apartment is beautiful. He's got a bathroom with an area for him to sit down like a sit-down in a shower. He's got a big walk-in closet. He's got a side where we have his bed and a living area. It's a pretty good size."

"The foremost thing I have noticed is the caring staff. Most of the staff have been there many years which tells me a lot. Anytime I have asked any of them to do anything for my Mother it was promptly done without complaint. The food is varied and plentiful. There are numerous choices on the menu. It always looks delicious.There is a very nice court yard where the patients can visit with family outside with plenty of picnic tables for a family get together. The building is old and not the most beautiful nursing home I have visited but the price is reasonable considering the quality care. This nursing home is rated 5 star by the state and the staff works very hard to keep that rating. I have not regretted having my Mother there the last 17 months. "

"Westwing Place was homey and the people were nice. Those are the main things for me. They're building a new building, and that's going to be 2 floors. The place is just really clean. It's a nursing home, but it's nice."
