"I had family members who stayed at Fireside House of Centralia. They have a good rehab there. The grounds are fair. The patients can go outside and walk around and they don't have to worry about cars or anything. The rooms are clean. They have a pretty good staff. If you have a patient in the nursing home, you can go in and have parties and they help with the food and stuff. They encourage people to go in and do that. Their service is good. If the patients can't walk, they help them to and from the bathroom and they also get them dressed. If they're having trouble eating, they feed them. They just take care of them better. They have games, they bring people in to play music, and they have entertainment. They just get to do more things. The food is good. People seem to like it."

"I'm in a nursing home called Centralia Manor. The experience was very good, but the food was debatable. Because it's a big nursing home, by the time it got to my area, sometimes it was cold. Other than that, they came when you turn your light on, and they gave you showers when you needed to get one. When things get squared away, and instead of going into assisted living or anything like that, I've considered going into a nursing home if they're pet friendly. I have a cat and an old dog, but I do know that they have them, so that would be one of my options. I liked some of the staff, and some of them I didn't, but I think that's normal in any situation. They acted like they cared about the people and that it wasn't just a job. The facility was clean. They worked all the time keeping the floors clean. It didn't have an odor like some of the nursing homes. They were very, very good about keeping things clean like the bathrooms, the floors, and everything. Food was simple and it wasn't fancy. They had a salad that I ordered all the time in the evening and the cooks noticed that I ordered it all the time, so one evening, when I got my meal, I have a big bowl of that particular salad, which I thought was very nice that the cooks paid attention to what the patient was eating."

"Odin Healthcare is an amazing facility. The staff is caring, knowledgeable, and treat the residents with complete dignity and respect. Their therapy department is top notch and offer physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. Odin Healthcare also does an excellent job with their long-term residents. They fully understand the aging process and how to keep their residents comfortable during the end-of-life stages. If you’re considering a rehabilitation or long-term care facility for yourself or a loved one, I highly suggest Odin! I sleep well at night knowing my grandma is in such great hands. "

"The assisted living provider was adequate but nothing fancy. He complained of the food and some of the services, but overall he seemed satisfied with the care and was happy to have wifi access when in the building. Apparently, a staff member resembled Tom Hardy which I'm sure made things far easier than they could have been. Overall, he seemed comfortable and well-taken are of even if the staff was hesitant to meet his requests at times. "

"I have a family member who is at the nursing home of Mount Vernon Health Care Center. The facility is understaffed. The building smells most of the time. My family member can't get up on his own. He has trouble walking and they don't change him like they're supposed to. He has accidents and has to sit on his wet pants all day. His room is OK. He's supposed to be sharing with somebody, but so far, they haven't gotten anybody in there. They just sit and watch television or sit in the dining room, and then walk around and stand at the nurse's station talking to the nurses. So, they have no activities. I haven't been there too much when they are serving food, but I take a lot of his food over there to him because he can't eat what they serve. They could improve by getting more staff and helping their patients more. They could give them some activities to do, and try to get them to associate with other patients instead of just talking to the staff all the time."
