I am a resident of Sky View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center L L C. It has to be a lot of change to allow a pet, but I guess it's just the nurse's aides. The location is amazing. The dining room has gorgeous views and then the patient rooms above that, if you take an elevator, and they have a day room on each floor that has a gorgeous view of the Hudson, which looks like a lake, and we see the other county across the river, here. The food is terrible. It's not completely bad, but it's pretty bad. They need to change the menu and have a head chef oversee the cooks better, so they don't overcook things and undercook because they do both.

I visited this facility yesterday to see a friend who is a patient there.while the grounds and rooms are impressive they are obviously understaffed.I was horrified to find out my friend despite her request and family members request has had only one shower since February..while she is given a daily sponge bath anyone with an ounce of compassion knows how cleanliness can affect mental state of someone trying to get well. This is unacceptable I will be filing a complaint with the NYS justice center if she isn't showered by the end of the day.

While we realize rehab facilities are challenged with staffing shortages, the experience we had last month was lacking medically (being kind) from 1 year ago. Our loved one was back in the ER within 2 days due to oversights in his care that were unrecognized until our family stepped in. I hope they will get more nursing and aide care soon to support the needs of the elderly requiring such facilities.

My mother is in Sky View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center LLC. It's OK as far as nursing homes go. They seem to listen to you at least. Some weekends seem to be understaffed and maybe a little less attentive. There were some very nice people there also. The place is fairly clean and seems well maintained. Some of the interiors are a little bit old, but they're not shabby or anything. It's clean and well managed. They have a very nice dining room, patios overlooking the Hudson River, which are very nice, hair and nails like a beauty parlor type of thing, and a fairly well-equipped gym for rehabilitation. It's close to most of the relatives who want to visit her. They should have better staffing levels at the odd times of the week.

My mother is Skyview Rehabilitation and Health Care. We like the location. We decided to try it out, and we don't have any major complaints at this point. They've stopped doing physical therapy and occupational therapy because she wasn't reaching her goals, and then her one hundred day Medicare ran out. I guess my biggest complaint right now is, because she's not doing therapy on a daily basis, she's not getting up and using her legs and walking. They've been taking care of her fine. I have no complaints about her care at the nursing home at the rehab facility. I have no complaints about the food, it seems really good. The place is nice and clean. I just wish they continued doing physical therapy. So far, the staff is good and seems friendly enough. The food looks good. They chop it up for her to make it easier for her to eat it. They say they do activities, but she has not participated because she can't.

I was at Sky View in 2019 for almost 3 months because of a seriously broken ankle. Obviously I’d rather be outside enjoying the summer but the staff was exceptional, making my stay comfortable and pleasing. I was taken care of by a professional, friendly, and caring staff from my room to the PT area. The room was comfortable, clean, and enough space including the dresser for all of my stuff. The food was mostly good and good sized portions.

Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care Center is at a central location between me and where my mom is now. It has great views of the Hudson River. When I went in there, I was greeted very nicely by the staff. What I liked about it was that it didn't look like a typical nursing home. When you go to a nursing home, people usually just sit in a wheelchair in the hallway staring at the walls. All the people there were interacting with each other, and the help was very nice to all the patients. The rooms all have views of the Hudson River, which is nice. They showed me the cafeteria, and it looked like everyone was eating. They have a beauty parlor, they have all these activities going on, they had a school band playing there, they had bingo, and they had this therapy dog that comes in, so it's very nice for the people. The facility was beautiful. It looked like a nice hotel with really nice hallways. I didn't smell anything bad like urine or anything like that. It was very nice and very clean.

My stepfather was mistreated and had his belongings removed from his room after becoming ill and temporarily moved to hospital. When my mother went to retrieve his belongings, they’d already given up his room and removed his personal belongings and refuses to send them after having found lost items days after my mom went to pick his things up. I’m very concerned about the care being offered at this center

My husband was at Sky View Rehab and they did a good job. The rooms were OK. We got a nice view from his room. It was on the Hudson River. The food was OK and they provided me with meals as well. They had a large TV, but there were no real activities. They had a very large gym/fitness center to keep the residents active. The staff member was nice and helpful. However, they gave a prescription to my husband and we had to pay for it, but nothing had been discussed with me when I went to the pharmacy to pick it up. We had to pay $901 for one medicine because they felt he had a DVT in his leg, which he didn't.

I am currently a daily visitor to an elderly patient who was formerly a live in housekeeper and continued to reside with me after my wife's demise. Unfortunately she suffers from late stage COPD and was placed in Skyview about a week ago for rehab. My observations are limited to daily visits where I interfaced with several different receptionists, many nurses, attendants and other personnel. A few yrs. ago I visited this same facility and found it mildly depressing, with drab interior, unsmiling employees and mediocre patient care. So I was pleasantly surprised to find a brightly lit, carpeted facility with everyone from the receptionists to the nicely dressed nurses and attendants upbeat, smiling and super attentive and considerate of the patients they were administering to. They all went out of their way to accommodate requests and I was pleasantly shocked at the change that had been affected since my last visitor experience. I have always found the patients' expressions and demeanor to be indicative of their treatment by the staff and so many of them were smiling and positively interacting with their attendants and with each other that I came away quite confident and relieved in leaving my friend in Skyview while she recuperates. BIG IMPROVEMENT!

I had 2 knee replacements. I came to Skyview for my second one. I am glad I did. They listened to my dietary needs carefully and provided the correct meals. I absolutely CANNOT have salt or salt products and I prefer no sugar. The first rehab center I went to never got it right. My husband haf to prepare all my meals at home and bring them to me. Skyview was different. I had no complaints, my food was tasty and prepared with No Salt. The staff was very friendly, and had big smiles every morning. The housekeeping person on the 5th floor was a total sweetheart. I looked forward to seeing her daily. She is so pleasant. The therapist were great and very helpful. THANK YOU Skyview of Croton on the Hudson for a most pleasant stay.

I have a family member that is currently in the nursing home. Been there for years. The nursing staff is wonderful, from the aides to the nurses. The activities department always nice and cheerful. The old administrator Steve was excellent and always had an open door policy. I recently went to the nursing home and the director of nursing they have Diane seems nice but I caught how she has talk to her staff. Even though she is nice to the resident it makes me wonder if you can talk nasty to your staff how are you the resident when no one is looking. they have a new administrator name Vincent seems nice but I have family friend who use to work at another nursing facility with him and the stories of how rude and nasty he is. I for one believe it to be true. This is a friend that i would believe in a heartbeat. I don't understand why there are rude nasty people working in nursing homes. This job requires compassionate people who are caring and respectful to staff and resident. When you have people that are disrespectful to staff, the ones who are caring and loving towards your love one it makes you double take. The last thing I need is a staff taking out frustrations towards resident because the people in charge are rude towards them.

My mother has been at Skyview for a number of years. The professional staff is very considerate and kind. Most of the nursing and support staff are caring. The administrator, Steve, always has his door open and is welcoming and helpful. We are happy to know that our mother is safe and cared for.

MY SISTER MARGARET D, WAS IN SKYVIEW AND WHEN HER HUSBAND NEEDED HELP THE ADMINISTRATOR ACTED IMMEDIATELY AND SOLVED THE PROBLEM GIVING HIM AID. THE THERAPISTS WERE SO PROFESSIONAL AND COMPASSIONATE GETTING HER BACK TO WALKING AFTER TWO MAJOR ORTHOPEDIC SURGERIES, THE PIANO PLAYER WAS WONDERFUL AND BROUGHT MUCH JOY GETTING THE RESIDENCES TO SING ALONG. AS WE PLAYED TRIVIA WITH THE SONGS. KUDOS TO THE SALON AND THE GALS AT THE FRONT DESK WHO ARE VERY WELCOMING. OVERALL A VERY PLEASANT CARING FACILITY.

My father was there doing rehab from cancer surgery. They treated him very badly and punished him by not listening to what he wanted to eat and not cleaning the floor in his room. The floor became very sticky and the staff ignored him anytime he was calling for help. I had to pay for a secondary nurse to sit with him throughout the day and the nurse i paid had told me the staff would laugh and giggle with uncomfortable remarks going past his room. If u have a loved one who is ill or terminally ill, stay away from this place, its disgusting.

Sky View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center LLC is very well staffed with people who are very good to my cousin. They have a lot of activities for the residents and an outdoor patio. His room has a view of the Hudson River. My cousin had been there several times, so he knows the people . The place is very nice. He enjoys the food. The dining rooms are nice, big, lit up areas on each floor where they feed everybody. On the main level, there is a big dining room. I know they have entertainment come in, group activities, and movies. My cousin undergoes physical therapy. The place is very clean. As soon as we came in, they labeled his stuff.

Both my father and my mother had a stay at Skyview's rehab facility at different times; my dad 18 months ago, my mom 2 weeks ago. Both stays were quite disappointing and depressing. The physical therapy staff is very good, earning the one star I gave this place. The PTs are caring and work hard with patients. It is the staff of aides (and some nurses) that is either poorly trained or do not have a desire to help patients. My parents were ignored many times and even spoken to harshly while they were in weakened states and needed help, not reprimands for pushing the "help" button. The lobby, grounds and view are very nice here but looks can be deceiving. There are only 2 elevators and no service elevator. When the staff is delivering meals 3 times a day, one elevator is always out of service for visitors and patients. There is often a long waiting line of elderly people in wheelchairs waiting to get back up to their rooms, often times for 20 minutes of longer. My family and I visited nearly every day, so we encountered this often.

My mother had her hip replaced at a nearby hospital and was not planning on attending a rehab. While she was recovering a representative from SkyView told her about the rehab and without any research she consented to going which was our mistake. Two days after she arrived to skyiew she had still not been see by a phyiscal therapist and was told by staff they didnt know when she would see a therapist. Finally she was seen- and the phyiscal therapists did help her, and she did improve and was satisfied with the PT care. Unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can find to say about this place. The staff is very inattentive- do the bare minimum. The energy in this facility is extremely depressing, very bleak and low. The food is absolutely disgusting and terribly unhealthy - not what I would hope a care facility geared towards health and healing would serve- it is garbage. While there my mother contracted a terrible 15 day bacterial infection from either the food or unsterilized recovery tools. The facility took samples for testing and lost her samples twice. Extremely unorganized and careless - unsanitary environment, horrible morale- stay away from this place.... it was a true nightmare

My mother is in Sky View Rehabilitation and Health Care. She needs 24-hour care and she is in the best place right now. She has a roommate. My mom is in wheel chair and she's being wheeled around. My mom is eating special foods because she's having difficulty swallowing. So, they are giving her mashed up foods. I am recommending them to others.

My mother was in the facility and I would NOT recommend it. No service elevator; two passenger elevators in the building and both are used by staff, vendors, residents, visitors, etc.; the aide staff inattentive to patients, who are often ignored. Rehab facility is okay; the head of nursing is selfless and uncaring. Numerous attempts (calls/left messages/emails) to the administrator were fruitless; he never called back me or anyone in my family to address/discuss our issues; many of which we felt were serious. The lovely view of the Hudson is the only thing positive about it; don't judge this book by it's cover.

The staff was very friendly and helpful to my grandmother at this facility. They always came quickly when she needed assistance, and they were always kind and patient with her when she needed cheering up or help in any way. They would often honor her wishes when she said she wanted something special to eat or drink, and would watch over her to make sure she was getting the nutrition she needed. The facility also had bingo nights, movie nights, and all sorts of other events for the residents, which my grandmother always commented about. She said she enjoyed them and met some very nice people through those activities. While living there, my grandmother also had several roommates who were nice and kept her company as well. Overall, I was happy with the facilities and amenities offered by this assisted living provider, and would recommend it to people in the future.
