I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I cannot recommend this facility. The main problems with RCA were a lack of communication from the administration staff and failure to transport my family member to doctor's appointments. I live away from the Albuquerque area and when I would call or email for information about my family member, administration would not return calls and ignored e-mails. This was very frustrating. Finally, I moved my family member to another facility in my hometown.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque was the worst facility I have ever experienced. The general appearance, and the administration were horrible. When my father arrived from the intensive care, they put him in the back with no nursing staff, no doctors, nothing. They threw him like a sack of potatoes in one room. He just had surgery on his hip, and it took me two weeks before I could get someone to be compassionate enough to begin to help him. Every morning, I was there changing him, and it was a bloody nightmare. I would never recommend any of the Genesis facilities to anyone. They were unkind. The doctor never saw my father. My mother received a bill from the Genesis facility saying that they saw him on the first day that he arrived on December 8th. I was there all day and not one person came in. They were the most inhumane people I have ever met in my life. They did nothing. Blue Cross Blue Shield became inactive after 21 days, and the facility made the decision to stop his physical therapy, that's why I moved my father. It's the most horrible situation I have ever experienced. They need to improve their administration staff, and the people that they hire to work for them. They need to improve all of their facility or they need to close it. There's no reason why they should be in business. They need to restructure everything. They hire people you are not even capable of doing anything.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My mother passed on a Saturday, they told me I could come pick up her belongings when it was convenient. I was there the next Tuesday; they couldn't locate her belongings. I was back on the Tuesday after, still no belongings. After 3 visits, they told me they would call me when they located them. Now it has been over 5 weeks, they have never contacted me, and when I call, they tell me there is little to no chance they will locate her belongings. They have still never contacted me, all the contact made was from me.
