"My mother lived at Casa for the last two years of her life. The staff was very caring and considerate, and they really seemed to take an interest in the residents. My mother had a simple but clean and cheerful room with a view of a courtyard with trees. She loved the food and made friends with residents and some of the staff. The activities were adapted to the residents' needs and desires. Nursing home staff are overworked, underpaid and underappreciated, and yet the Casa staff was always available with a smile and a helpful word - and a hug. This is not luxury living but residents at Casa are safe, secure, cared for, and cared about at a difficult and scary time of their lives. As a family member, and one who lived far away, it was good for me to know that Mom was there. "

"My mom was sent here for physical therapy rehab and they treated her very well. The staff is very nice there, the building seemed clean, and everyone greeted me with a smile. I would recommend this place. "

"I put my dad at Mescalero Care Center. The rooms were very nice and welcoming. There was a rocking chair/recliner for visitors and a couple of smaller chairs in the room. The bathroom was nice and had a wardrobe for your personal belongings. They were there twice a day for cleaning. They would put my dad in a wheelchair and bring him in the dining area. For the people who are not able to feed themselves, they were placed at one table and had three or four people that walked around and fed each one a bite. They took care of each one of them. If anybody wants great care for their elderly parent, this is the place. My dad couldn’t talk, so they brought him in for speech and physical therapies. They put him out in the TV area with everybody and took such good care of him. We were there a lot, and people would still come into his room and take care of him. "
