I was in an accident and I was in a nursing home in Las Vegas called Marquis Centennial Hills. I came right from the hospital to the place. I had two broken arms, a fractured nose, a concussion, and one of my legs was a little messed up, so I was in pretty bad shape. It was very nice and they were great. The nursing staff and everybody that worked there was always on hand if you needed something. If they couldn't do it, they make sure somebody else would do it for you. They always had cheery faces on. Nobody was complaining or anything. It was a nice and clean place. It was not like what you hear about nursing homes in the newspaper or anything. This was nice. They had what they call exercise machines and things to help you get your body back in order so that you could not be just lying in bed. They got everybody up every day, those that could get up. You were always scheduled for a time in the exercise room and then during the day, they had some sort of activity or a couple of activities every single day so that you wouldn't get bored. The food was delicious. I wanted to stay. I liked it so much that I would have stayed if I was going into a nursing home. It was that nice and pleasant. We did bingo and arts and crafts. Around the holidays we'd have a little band come in for music. People came in and they decorated the whole place. You knew the date and you knew what was coming up. We have sort of a party with food and snacks and things like that for the party. It was a nice place.
