My wife is getting all the care she needs at Southview Acres Health Care Center. I am pretty happy with them so far. I like the place. The staff is trying the best they can, especially with the shortage of staff due to COVID problems everybody has. They have a menu every day that you kind of check off what you want and leave off what you don't want. They have a good cleaning staff. They keep her room very clean.

My mother was a resident at Southview Acres just recently during the COVID19 surge. I must say that the care, compassion, and attention my mom received was more than I expected. I kept on seeing on the news how hard the Long Term care settings were getting hit, and through all that, I believe Southview Acres was the best choice I made for my mother. Shout to the administration and the director of nursing for having great communication throughout the whole ordeal. My mother is back at home now, and although she discharged home after completing her therapy, we only have fond memories of Southview Acres.

I was in the TCU for just over 2 weeks after a total femur and knee replacement. My first night there I needed to use the commode and the 2 night people didn't want to help get my leg off the bed and lowered to the ground. That I should do it myself because it would hurt the ones back. Excuse me why are you there if you can't do your job. Although the one did finally help and after the first night was great. The day aids were great!! Food was basically inedible the 1st week it improved the second. PT and OT were great. Twice I was almost given the wrong meds. First time I knew I was suppose to get 2 oxy, small white pills, I was given one peach pill and I questioned what I was given. I passed the information to the nurse in the morning and she said she would pass it on. Though she did the higher ups only questioned the nurse who made the mistake and not me, until I insisted. The nurse who made the mistake said he caught the mistake before he gave them to me:/how would I know the number and color of pills if I hadn't seen them? The second time it was caught before I was given my meds. After that I made them read out the medication while they were getting them ready. Especially in the afternoon, evening and overnight. The whirlpool bath/shower was wonderful. Rooms were nice. Limited TV channels and only offer Fox cable news. This was myb8th surgery on my leg and although I really liked most the aids and nurses I would never recommend Southview Acres.
