The facility appeared to be in very good condition with shared spaces and units in good repair. Dining services appeared to be top of the line with numerous high quality choices. Residents seemed to be in mostly good spirits. Staff were friendly and helpful to residents and guests. Amenities like barbershop and convenience store were very nearby. Located near downtown Minneapolis and many other attractions.

We were very pleased with Augustana's accommodation. It was an older facility, but we did looked at the apartment and they seem very well arranged to accommodate someone that had limited mobility. From what we saw, they had a bank on site, a hairdresser, a small store, they had a resident chaplain, the have a lovely dining room. The only thing negative that I would say about the facility was the laundry. They had to go downstairs, there was no laundry on each floor for them. They have to somehow get the laundry down on the elevator downstairs. We would have to pay extra to have her laundry done I think. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere very welcoming, and they have garden facilities for residents who want to have a flower garden. Also, lots of activities going on. Someone wanting to be there shouldn't expect a brand new, modern apartment. But they had the walk-in showers, very spacious closets, seem to very nice and clean. It is a large facility and they have long hallways for people to walk, but they have many places for people to sit along the way. Somebody who isn't real mobile might have some problems with that. But they offered a lot, and I was quite impressed with the people who gave us the tour.
