My mother is very happy at Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. The staff has been very good. She's satisfied with the food. She's got a one-bedroom and I'd rate that a five. She doesn't utilize the amenities very much. She pretty much stays in her apartment, but there is a library. She has her meals in her apartment. They bring it to her. She has a television and internet in her apartment, so that is very nice. The facility is very well maintained. She seems very, very happy and very satisfied there.

I went to Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley for a tour. I saw independent living, but if I need assisted living right now, I could go in the same unit. It's a stay-in-place facility. It was very clean, very attractive, and quiet. It seemed to have all the aspects that you might want in independent living. It's modern and impressive. I think the staff gave a comprehensive tour and explained things. She showed me two units. She was respectful, very prompt, and very attentive. They had a nice park area on one side of the building. They had a walkway around it, which is excellent. It's a nice strolling place for people to be out without crossing any streets.

I went to Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. The place had a very welcoming atmosphere from the time I walked in and every time I contacted them and went back subsequently. Since my mom lives in Florida, I had to take pictures to bring down to her and show her. They are very accommodating and able to walk through what I want. And the neighborhood just felt like what she wanted to live in. They offer one-bedroom apartments. There are lots of different daily activities. There are things if she needs it, like the meals if she wants it. It just fit for what we were looking for. And we're not paying for things that she currently doesn't need. That was one of my biggest things. I didn't want to pay for meals if my mom wasn't going to use them. And that was the other one I had that was included. It was more expensive and we couldn't opt out of the daily meals, which I'm like well, she's not going to eat. She still cooks for herself.

I just got a really good feeling about Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley when I walked in there. I talked to one of their executive directors, Jill, and she was very helpful. They're a little bit cheaper. The facility itself was very nice. It had a nice community room and a dining room. They had a nice setting where they overlooked a pond on the back side of the building. It was more in a residential area. We could have eaten there, but we just didn't take the time to do that. It's an older building and the cupboards in the kitchen were not as up-to-date. I didn't like the floor plans either. We could have lived with it, but the rooms just seemed a little crowded or not laid out quite as well as the other facility we went to. Jill was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. The other thing we liked about them was it's owned and run by a nonprofit, and they've been around for decades. I like that aspect of it.

We felt that the person who gave us the tour at Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley wasn't quite as warm as the other tour guide we had in another place, but she was efficient and she was on time. We bought Mom a wheelchair because we knew it was going to be a lot of walking, and there was a lot of walking back and forth and up and down there. All of the activity seemed to be spread out in different parts of the building. So, that was kind of something that we didn't care for, the long hallways. The facilities were nice. The amenities were nice. It just didn't have the same feel as the other facility we toured. We saw an apartment there and it was small and a little outdated by today's standards and more expensive. The dining area was nice. They also had a smaller dining room if you wanted to do something more private with family or friends.

I went to Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. I like this one. They have one bedrooms and two bedrooms. It was very nicely appointed. The restaurant looked nice. They have a cafe, a movie theater, a wellness center salon, a spa, a learning center, a library, and a chapel. It's located in a very nice area, but not so much for getting out and walking. They have outings and such, but if you have a car, you can easily get around quickly. Otherwise, you can get services all done there at the complex. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley was very nice, with very beautiful buildings, well-maintained, and nice amenities. They have nice staff. They're caring, and compassionate and wanted to understand the needs of my dad. However, their facilities were not as nice as the other place. They're not as updated.

My husband is in Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. So far, they seem to be keeping their word on all of the services they had promised that he would receive. We have received very thorough communication and a breakdown of all the billing practices so that we understand what we're paying for and what we're receiving. I was real happy with that. They seem to be very kind and thoughtful to him and understanding for his condition. They've been very attentive. I've sat with him for his meals and they seemed to be adequate and varied enough to get his interest. They're thoughtful in making sure he has something that he likes. They talked to him before they made a meal plan for him to make sure they were serving something that he liked. He's kind of locked in, so he can't go out. I can take him to the other places, but I haven't had a chance yet, to like the library and the theater. Compared to the other places that we looked at, they came in lower, but offered as good or better service. He has a balcony even in memory care, and it's locked. You have to have an attendant unlock it for you. Somebody has to be with him if he's on the balcony.

The tour experience at Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley was very good and informative. The community was very nice. The staff was helpful and a very nice person. The rooms were nice. Everything was very pleasant. I had nothing to say bad about them. We observed people in different areas. We went to the gym and took a complete tour of everything. The dining area looked very nice, airy, wide-open, and inviting.

We came to Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley unannounced, and yet there was somebody that stepped up just immediately. She gave us a great tour and was very knowledgeable. The dining room gave you the feeling of a restaurant. It was small, but looked fine. Nobody was going to be waiting for a table, but it was a very comfortable restaurant and they had a separate dining room so that some family members could dine in private with you. So, that was a nice feature. It was just too expensive. We had our mother at that facility before. So, we know the place very well. I've had meals there and the food was very good. Being an outside family member, those meals as a guest were very reasonable. They had pretty standard activities, like card games and puzzles. There's not much ground outside, but there were nice balconies in the room. If you do a very short walk (maybe not even a full block), you would be in a city park that would have young children and so on. So, you would have that advantage there to be able to do that.

I toured the Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley yesterday. It was a very beautiful campus, with nice finishings. Some of the units had very small apartment-sized refrigerators and two-burner hot tops, and I didn't care for those units. They do have nicer units. I did very much like for my father to stay in independent living, but take ala carte services like laundry or meals. Their availability for those kinds of things was greater than the other place, and they're more reasonably priced. The woman I toured with was very nice, but not quite as knowledgeable, and I didn't feel like she offered as much information. The woman at the front desk was pretty curt and almost rude. I was pretty disappointed. They had a full range of services, a salon, a gift shop, and a gym. They had a lot of activities.

I was not overly impressed with Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. They all look the same. It was three or four stories with windows on three sides. It was clean, but just not eye-popping like the other place. The person that showed me around was amenable. It just didn't grab my attention as the other place did. The tour person was extremely nice and answered questions and everything else. When we went down the halls, people were milling around and sitting on couches. They might have been doing a puzzle or playing some card game or something. There was one table with some people at it. We saw a garden and an outdoor patio with tables and chairs. They had underground parking. I went to two units, and we talked about everything. We went back to the office and then we went through pricing and the different levels. There were five buildings there. I only went to one building for independent living. They had two assisted living buildings and the last one was more like a nursing facility where they have full care. It's one big campus. It felt more homey than institutional.

We looked at Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. It was a very nice facility; it was our second choice. We liked the facility, the people, and the lady that we talked to was probably the best of any of them. She followed up, she was very attentive, she did a phenomenal job. The people that we met, they walked around and everybody knew everybody's name. You'd walk by and they'd say, "Hey, Helen, how are you doing? Hey, Bob." She knew everybody, all that staff members and all the individuals. Overall, it was a very nice facility. They were high on the list for overall amenities. The rooms were nice, the facilities were nice, they had salons, they had a tour bus that would take you different places. There's a lot of things going on with the people to be involved with all that kind of stuff. The only reason we didn't go with them was because it's about 30 minutes from our house, and it was just a little too far away. But if that was the only option we had, we would take it in a heartbeat. It's in a nice little neighborhood.

I would give Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley a high score, but it was a lot more expensive and had spaces that my mother at 90 doesn't need. They have a special room just designated for making jigsaw puzzles and they have framed jigsaw puzzles all over the wall. It's a large communal room and that's great, but I don't see my mother participating in that. They had a beautiful library too. All I can say is that Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley was lovely, it was just more than what my mother needed and more costly, but it may be perfect for somebody else. Another thing about the place was it's in an area with a lot of development and there are other apartments with maybe six, seven, to eight floors. So, when you're looking out your windows, you're looking at other buildings or a parking lot, and not at a pretty space or a natural environment. The person who toured us did a good job though.

My parents are at Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. The staff has been great. They're doing a great job. The rooms are nice and the people are nice. I haven't seen much of the building because of COVID. They weren't allowed to do much indoors. The care they're getting and the size of their apartment works for them. They have a movie theater and exercise room. They put puzzles together and play bingo. The staff do a very good job at cleaning the apartments. They come in once a week and it never smells in there, which is really good.

I visited Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley. It was very, very nice. The main difference was they did not have something available right now, for one thing. I think the price, if I calculate all the numbers, would have been very close to the same as the other one, although a little bit more expensive -- but not much. The staff were very nice. The lady who took us on a tour was exceptional, as far as marketing. The room that we were able to look at was only a one-bedroom because they did not have a two-bedroom open to view right now. The room was very nice; it is just not what I needed right now. The Seasons did have a stacked washer and dryer available in some rooms. The place was very nice, and I would say it was top rate, as far as I am concerned.

Ecumen would rate quite high because it is one of our favorites. It was a good location for us. It was quite a new facility and has up-to-date amenities that you would expect. They had a range of villas, but the apartments were really good. The staff and their availability was one of the things that we were concerned about, and Ecumen seemed good in that regard. We live quite close by, and it is in a kind of new development area. The basic amenities were very good. They had some social type things like playing cards and computer rooms and equipment that one could use. The main drawback would be this one was very high on the price range.

Seasons at Apple Valley was a top-notch facility when it opened and the staff was super. The new housing manager has let everything decline significantly. Building is dirty and not maintained very well. Dining servers no longer care and they don't even dress professionally. Worst thing is the pricing. Ecumen has priced themselves out of the market. And they nickel-and-dime for every little thing. We absolutely can no longer recommend this facility.

This facility was open and inviting from the moment we walked through the front doors. We were impressed with the fact that employees new the residents names. The other thing that was nice were the a'la carte assistance program options. The food also is amazing.

I visited the Ecumen Seasons. It was a wonderful place; however, their memory care didn’t have the one-on-one help that I like. When I was there, the staff had the people all lined up in wheelchairs watching cartoons, and I wasn’t so happy about that. They might be wonderful other than that, so maybe it wasn't the norm to do that when I was there.

The facility is nice and the care used to be good. However, we have seen a steady decline in the quality of staff. With a recent nursing supervisor change, the quality of care drop has been drastic. We are concerned about my mother and actively seeking a move for her. I am sad to say I would not recommend this location for your loved one.

The main reason we didn't take Ecumen Seasons for my mother-in-law is because they didn’t have any one-bedrooms available. They only had a two-bedroom, and you have to be on their waiting list until a one-bedroom came up. It has everything included into the price, and it would have been the most convenient for us because we live in Apple Valley. They have a lot of activities at this location. It was the most expensive of the ones we looked at, and they had the most things available, but they had a lot of meals included also, which is something that we learned from the past would be wasted, and they didn't have any one-bedroom available. So that was also a reason to not go with them, because the smallest thing they had available immediately was a two-bedroom. They were very nice and thoroughly explained everything, so it was good. It was a nice place, not just the right one.

My sister-in-law is in Ecumen. Our experience with the facility is excellent. The surroundings and the rooms are very good. There is one bedroom and bath. They are in good size, but they are not super big. They have nice staff. They have activities, but I wish there were more. My sister-in-law is happy there.

We like Ecumen Seasons and the way the care is offered. We like the structure and the general level of service. The staff was very helpful. They were very competent and very resident-centered. My mom’s been there for a little over a week. They have movies, speakers, different craft activities, book clubs, and social groups that meet every single day.

My mother is in Ecumen Seasons, and the staff there seems to be cooperative. The rooms seem to be fine. The only thing I want them to have is a microwave oven. They have activities, like baking parties. They have a rec room where she can play cards with her friends and make new friends. They have a dining room also.

From the rehabilitation center, we moved mom to Ecumen Seasons at Apple Valley and it has been good so far. She has a one-bedroom apartment, which is spacious enough with a balcony and she has her own washer and drier. The food is very good. Price wise, it is affordable. They have a lot of activities like bingo and theater and other stuffs. They just need to improve on their staff, but my mom is happy there.

Seasons has been a great place to have my mother reside. The staff are wonderful and appear to make life a bit easier for the residents to make this their home. The building itself has many different activities and things the residents can do which give them a chance to make new friends. I am looking forward to Spring ..like the rest of us to enjoy the beautiful grounds of Seasons. Thank you again to the wonderful staff that have made this transition for my mother a pleasant one.

Ecumen is brand new. It's beautiful. But the way things look and the way things really are, when a patient is there isn't always what you see. The staff was very helpful, but it seems very, very limited.

My Mother-In-Law was one of the first resident's to move into Seasons. My Mom-in-Law has moments that she forgets she's not the Lovely Princess and acts more like the Ugly Troll. :) Thankfully, the staff at Seasons look past her being the occasional ugly troll. Seriously, this facility and the staff are beyond the 5 stars. MIL is always well cared for in her assisted living apartment. We visit her different days of the week-every week, and her apartment is well kept, she and her clothing is clean, she is well fed, she considers some of the aides her friends, and she has never ushered one complaint (she was always complaining about another assisted living facility she lived in). I would recommend this facility to anyone whom wants to find a quality home for their loved ones!!

All in all, I would say the staff here is caring and kind. Many of the staff make a genuine effort to comfort and allay the concerns of those living here. At times, they almost treat the residents like family. It was a great thing to see. The building itself was very fine. The inside is clean and warm, with plenty of things to do. Many of those here seem very happy: they seem to get along great, and it's easy for them to bond with all the outside activities such as walking trails and a nice landscape. While the staff is kind, they tend to keep out of the way and it makes the experience less surreal than most places, which is extremely convenient. Additionally, the surrounding area is great; there's a lot to do. Basically every store you would want is contained within a two mile radius of here, so it keeps the residents on their feet while at the same time providing a situation where anything is just five minutes away.

My grandpa was moving out of his old home into a new one closer to my parents' house. During the move he needed a temporary place to stay that would be able to provide him with help if he needed it. So he got a place there for 2 months while we moved him into his new home. I visited him a few times a week and he loved it. Despite his old age he is quite the social butterfly so having other people his age to talk to and play cards with was great. It took his mind off of the move and kept him totally stress-free. Although I didn't run into to many staff members while there the few I did were very kind and always willing to lend a helping hand if one was needed. Although it would have been nice to see a bit more staff around to make sure everyone was taken care of.
