I am a resident of LaFranier Woods. I have been here since it opened up and I’m very pleased and happy living here. There are so many things to do. There is a workout room, a library, a game room with a pool table, we have a craft room, a salon, and a wonderful dining room with a terrific chef. The food is wonderful and is very healthy. The office personnel are very caring and helpful with anything you need. We have a maintenance man also. I have a two bedroom one and a half bath. I believe it’s about 960 ft.² plenty of room for one to two people. I enjoy playing games here at the apartment complex. Our Activity Director is very vivacious and has a wide variety of activities. There is a bus that takes you to the groceries store once a week for those that prefer to grocery shop that way. All in all I’m very happy here. It is my home now.

I was a resident of The Village at LaFranier Woods. It's excellent and outstanding. These are one- and two-bedroom apartments. The apartment I had was a one-bedroom, and it was 670 square feet. The staff is very good. They have a full-time activities director. The administrative staff is very good. They pretty much answer any questions or problems you have and address them. There's a full-time maintenance man there. So, your maintenance issues are addressed. They served the dinner meal, and you were provided with a five-day menu. You can pick what meals you want to eat off that menu, and it has to be turned in by a Saturday prior to the next week, but those meals are $15 each. The food is excellent. They have a regularly scheduled fitness program, and they do that once a week. They're very well connected to the Grand Traverse Commission on Aging. It's an excellent program, and they have full access to all those programs. If you need transportation, you coordinate that through the Commission on Aging, and someone will come and pick you up and get you to that activity.

I chose The Village At Lafranier Woods because of the availability and because it's brand new. The staff who toured me was great. She was very friendly and was willing to show us whatever we wanted. She was very nice. They have a library, garages or carports, and laundry on each floor.
