"They were extremely helpful. They took us on a complete tour of all the areas of care and showed us all the different possibilities where they would have apartments available for her, and it was very clean and very thorough -- an excellent place. The whole place was spotless, and the rooms were definitely a good size for where she would be placed once they had an opening. It looked like the food was good from what we could tell. It looked like they did puzzles, and they had different activities going on for them. I didn't see which ones they had, but they definitely had different activities going on with the different levels of care. The great thing about it is that if we were to place our aunt there, they have all the steps of memory care right there at the facility. We won't have to move her from facility to facility. They have everything right there at the Curry House; they had the facilities to handle each step of the memory care. "

"We went to Green Acres with the recommendations we got. So, we checked out the place just briefly. The rooms were good. It's a very nice atmosphere and the prices were comparable. If it wasn't for the fact that they asked for a little more extensive paperwork as an application, I might have filled one out for that place."

"Sunnyside Senior Living was nice and clean. Everybody we talked to was helpful and knowledgeable. There wasn't a high turnover rate and the ones that were there seemed to stay there, which was a good sign that everything else was good. They were happy that they were there and in today's world, it's hard to keep anybody anywhere and usually, a happy worker is going to do a better job with the people they're taking care of. Every room was kept up and cared for. They had quite a list of different things for their residents to do. At the time I was there, they were busy having Christmas carols."

"The facility is very large housing several residents, It was in the process of being remodeled when I visited so I assume that has already happened. The facility itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly. All of the residents I spoke with seemed very content with the situation. It was my understanding that there were social events to keep the residents entertained and for those residents who were able a bus would take them back and fourth from town for movies and dinner. The lodge itself is in the middle of the woods just outside of Cadillac Mi. I am sure there is plenty of wildlife for watching while sitting on the patio. Overall I feel like this facility would be perfect for those who can no longer live on their own but want to maintain their independence and dignity. I would have no problem, In fact I would be happy to move my Grandmother into this facility if the need arises. I am confident In the services provided by Pleasant Lake Lodge. "
