Memory Care Communities in Hoffman Estates, IL

"The Woodlands at Canterfield was beautiful. The apartments were fine, clean, nice, and brand new. We met with several people and they were all very nice and professional. They had a bunch of games going. It's brand new so there were not that many people there yet. We saw people in the lunchroom and it looked very nice. The dining area was beautiful. I didn't eat there. My brother and my mom ate there and they said the food was excellent. We met with several different people and overall everybody was great, but some were better than others."

"My Grandmother and Grandfather moved into this facility about 12 years ago. The place is very nice, good food, a swimming pool, exercise facilities, small library, ponds, patios, excellent grounds, and many other great facilities. My grandparents stayed in the apartments, but as the years went on my grandpa had to move to the assisted living area. He was well cared for. My grandma still lives there today and has no complaints. "

"We toured Waverly Inn, which is a memory care community. It was well-kept, it was newer than the other place I toured, and it was a very positive experience. I didn't meet a whole lot of staff during the tour but everyone was nice. The rooms were small but adequate, and clean, and the dining area was also nice, clean, and well-kept. They had open areas to congregate, and there was a courtyard outside with different people."

"It is very clean. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is very accommodating. The caregivers are awesome and my friend seems to like it. She is a level two memory care and they could go up to level six. So, that was a big plus for us. The day that we went to visit her, they gave us some sliders and some pancakes, and the food was good. Once you leave your room in the morning, you can't go back into it unless you need to use the bathroom. The doors are locked and they don't want people hanging out in their room. They have group sessions, tdo arts and crafts, do physical therapy, and play games. She'll play bingo, they watch movies, and they have visitors like dogs that come in. So, they keep the residents pretty active until it's time to go to bed."

"Clarendale of Addison was very nice. I really liked the room the staff showed me. I liked the idea about their meal plan that if you don't eat a meal, you're not charged for it. It was just a little bit too far from where most of my activities take place, but I really like the Clarendale of Addison. I have friends who live in there and it would be nice if we were there together. The staff was very nice and they called me a couple of times afterwards. It was a very nice experience. The staff showed me a snack shop and that's where he explained how the meal plan went. It was very lovely."

"I toured with sales director/tour guide Valentino. He was very knowledgeable and so were the clinical staff. All nurses were very friendly greeted us as we toured. Residents looked happy and engaged. It was very nice. Too bad my loved one passed away and wasn't able to move-in.I would highly recommend."

"I went to Belmont Village of Buffalo Grove. The facility was nice, warm, and welcoming. It didn't feel like a nursing home. They have a little kitchenette, a microwave, and a refrigerator. So, that was nice. The staff was nice and understanding. They have common areas like a courtyard and a garden."

"I knew somebody that was in Belmont Village. It was very good, and the location was good. It was just a little bit larger. The rooms were larger also. The staff were very helpful. It was a good tour, and they answered my questions. They go to restaurants and shopping, and they bring in entertainment. "

"My father has only been here for a few weeks now. It's beautiful, and it's practically new. Everything is clean and fresh. The staff is very helpful and very knowledgeable about dementia. The room is very spacious, and it's got a separate bathroom with shower, a nice huge window to look outside, and plenty of closet space. They have pet therapy come in. I was impressed at how clean it was, how spacious it was, and how much they knew about dementia. "

"My husband and I went to see it first, and then we took my sister-in-law back to see it. It was a good experience, but she chose the other place over Addolorata, and I am not sure why. I liked the fact that it was a religious institute, and when we went during the week, it was a very positive experience. "

"I do have my wife in Arden Courts. Why did I pick this place? Partly because of all information I received from it and the feedback I got from other people who used it, saying they were very pleased with it, so I thought that it was a very good place. The staff is very good. We're really happy with the staff. They are very caring and very concerned. They're very good. My wife is really well cared for. Food is very adequate. It is very good. They do a lot of games. They have programs. They bringing people in for concerts. They do different kinds of word games as well as bean toss and a number of other kinds of games. They have music and movement kinds of things. They do walking. There is a variety of activities. What I like best about this place? I think it is the personality and the care that my wife receives there. She seems very content. I would recommend Arden Courts, certainly! "

"I gained a new family by meeting great people. Beautiful grounds with individual apartments, offers something for everybody. You can close the door and enjoy your apartment or join the many activities. Everyday there is a new activity that pops up. For example there is a workshop that many men and women can participate in, a full library and so many more fun things to do."
