My mother in law has been a resident at Hingham Bridges for 1-1/2 years. The facilities, staff, and activities are wonderful. They have not had any Covid infections since the pandemic began. The residents are not in their rooms except to sleep. They spend time in their living areas socializing together, and there are large living room and kitchen/dining areas where the friends are all together. Clean, bright, sunny, and the staff are cheerful and caring. Each wing has about 16 residents, and they all have access to large sunny courtyards that are beautifully landscaped, with paved pathways for walks, and rocking chairs, tables and umbrellas for visiting and socializing. The residents can go out to the courtyard on their own during nice weather. Each day there is a full calendar of activities, even during the pandemic. They continue to bring entertainment in--and have had several concerts and activities outdoors in the courtyards, and indoors while everyone is wearing masks and is socially distanced. They do crafts, memory activities, games, art and there is a lot of one on one time. There is also a hair salon on site, and the dentist and podiatrist visit monthly for anyone needing appointments. My husband, my mother in law and I could not be happier with her care. They even somehow make her ground food medical requirement tasty as their chef really cares!

Aside from a couple exceptions, the Care team at Bridges Hingham is undertrained, lazy, uncaring, and cold to the residents. They do the very basics of what is required for personal daily care, in terms of dressing, toileting, laundering, and putting food in front of people. But that’s about it. There’s no even feigned attempt by the CNAs to engage, reassure, or be empathetic to the residents. And the management excepts this knowingly, without supervision or intervention, except for gross misbehavior, when caught. Avoid this place.

We visited Bridges. They have very nice rooms. They were newer, sunlit, and had views out of the window. The staff was outstanding, approachable, and caring. The dining room was very nice, and they had a nice menu.

Overrated!! Their sales pitch and beautiful grounds make you believe it's a top of the line facility for your loved one. Not even close! Short staffed, cafeteria grade food, high turnover, no accountability among the aides/nurses. Do not fall for their sales pitch. They are not an innovative, cutting edge facility. Art classes and music don't justify what they really are---a pretty country club, but lacking in all things that really matter when taking care of Alz patients.

Bridges is a memory loss only facility with three houses attached to a central area including a reception area, living room, offices, the kitchen, central activity room, wellness center and hair salon. Each house has bedrooms for 18 residents with a huge kitchen/dining area, a cozy living room with fireplace and a fenced yard. Everything is accessible as the building is one floor. My sister went to Bridges in Hingham for a 1 month trial and is enjoying an active life 1 1/2 yrs later. I've never seen her happier. The atmosphere is one of caring, kindness, and love for residents and their family members. The staff is superb. They follow the terrific lead of the management team who, in addition to their individual responsibilities, each spend time with residents either overseeing a group activity or just visiting briefly throughout the day in each house. The list of activities within the daily schedule at Bridges is varied and keeps residents very busy, yet there is time to relax and enjoy some quiet time or the outside, weather permitting. In addition to a full list of daily activities and a variety of frequent entertainment programs, there are many trips beyond Bridges. Monthly family programs are held, but family members are welcomed any time, any day to join in activities when they visit. My sister has been able to continue doing for others by serving lunch once a month at a homeless shelter with a small group of residents and staff. She has showed a renewed interest in creative activities i.e. painting, knitting, gardening, baking, and making crafts. Some items made were used to decorate her room, donated or used in a residents' fair. Like any home, there are sometimes things that need to be "fixed." Any time there has been a question, a different point of view, or a concern, it has been handled professionally, promptly and with my sister's best interest in the forefront from all sides. Residents are treated with love and respect while they encouraged to live the best life they can in a warm, comfortable home.

My Mom was a resident at Bridges by Epoch in Hingham. I have only wonderful things to say about ALL of the staff, the facilities and the care my Mom received! The Facility is brand new and meticulously kept with all of the modern conveniences and decor of a newly constructed home including granite counter tops in the kitchens; inviting living rooms and cozy bedrooms to beautifully landscaped courtyards. While the modern, extremely clean physical structure of the Facility is what caught my attention initially, it was the love, care, knowledge and professionalism of ALL of the Bridges Staff that won me over! My mother spent the last year of her life as a member of the Bridges Community. Her disease was very complicated creating numerous obstacles in her care. The Bridges Staff not only engaged my Mom and the other residents in interesting and fun activities, but they were in constant communication with my family and me. They were very clear right from the start as to what care and services they would be able to provide and worked tirelessly and continuously with my Mom and my family to provide top-notch care. As my mother’s disease progressed, the Staff assisted us in creating and supporting my mother and my family with an end of life plan. It was so comforting going through such a very sad and difficult time with the Bridges Staff. The out-pouring of love, affection and care they gave my Mom (and my family) was nothing less than spectacular!!! Through this experience, I felt as though I gained an extended family in the Bridges Staff. They are truly amazing people who had touched both my mother’s and my life deeply. I am so grateful!

We put my mom at Bridges by Epoch. The price is in the mid-range. The place is nice and clean the staff is pleasant and they take care of her 24 hours a day and one of the thing that I like is that they have a doctor comes to check on her.
