This is a for profit facility which means the dollar is the bottom line, NOT the care of your loved one. The administration is defensive, not willing to hear or listen to concerns, they are staffed by agencies which means there is little to no continuity in who is caring for your loved one.And the worst part is they do NOT passon infot from one shift to another. They will deny this, just like they deny everything , but I had mutliple nurses and aids tell me they had no idea ofwhat each residents needed or history. One night nurse could not even get into the computer to log in and get basic info or chart. She told me this was her fourth agency assignment and the first three had been very organized but this one was a nightmare. Chaotic environment. Social Services director did not even understand how to help me fill out admissions paperwork. This was basic forms everyone is supposed to fill out.She ahd to g to antoher staff person who ahd to call a former employee for help.My guess is they are absoutly not used to someone who asks questions and wants to be informed about what they are signing. This place is an absolute nightmare.I would honestly give it minus stars if that was an option.

Diversicare of Hutchinson has twenty-four-hour medical nurses for support. They also have inpatient therapy, like an occupational therapist and a physical therapist. It's pretty clean. The rooms are private; they are pretty spacious like a nice apartment, although not too nice. It's like a nice, clean, apartment-sized room that you don't have to share. So they're all private, and they allow you to bring a few personal items to kind of keep it a little personalized and homey. All the staff I've spoken to have been just really over-the-top friendly, really supportive, and responsive. Everybody was pretty helpful trying to get my mom situated to where she needed to go.
