Southfield Village

Southfield Village was very clean and roomy. They were doing an activity when we were there and they had an activities director that was doing it. It was very organized, except they only had a room on the second floor, and that was a no-no for my mom, but it was very nice and the people were friendly.

I can't say enough good things about Southfield Village. The place is extremely clean, my mother is very well-taken care of, and the people are compassionate. They have plenty of activities for the residents, and their activities director goes above and beyond to get her to movies and all of the functions. Her room is very nice and has big bay windows. She can also get her hair done there.

We found Southfield Village. The price was right. It was clean, and it was pretty. The people were very helpful, very kind. We just liked it the best. For her, the room is spacious enough. I know that they have popcorn and movies, which she really likes. They go on outings, and they're available to go several times a week, which she really likes.

Southfield Village Inc. is very, very nice. They don't have nursing care there, but they are trying to get it. They have an attached nursing that does have a nursing unit right there if you need it. Out of all the facilities I've looked into, Southfield was nicer, nicer than any of them. I love the people who run it. Everybody I talked to has a positive thing to say about it. Their staff is excellent. I put my mother in there; she's been there for about eight weeks, and I am still very happy with it.

Upon arrival, we noticed the beautiful scenery. Entering the building I was amazed at the interior design of the building.This facility was a very clean and organized place. It was decorated beautifully. The staff was friendly and informing. They helped us move things, offered family a chance to stay and have dinner with them to help the transitional phase. The meal service the was very organized. The quality of the food was wonderful. Residents had the option of two different meals. The waiters in the dining room made sure that everyone was happy with their meal service. The building is safe, doors are locked everday at a certain time. Knowing that helped ease the family's concern for their grandmother. The facility also has a fitness center. Their are bike and treadmills for residents and staff to use to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They also have outing the go on every week, whether it is shopping or out for lunch. It is quite an exeptional facility.
