Marshall-Starke Development Center is a place where differently-abled individuals are able to work and live in apartments throughout the city of their choice. With over 100 wonderful people within the facility throughout the day, the people who work within this facility are the residents as well. The staff assists the residents or day-workers throughout the day as they do a "paid" job. The jobs are menial in nature, however the residents do get to socialize and work at their own pace. The staff are few and far between, however the night staff is a wonderful group of individuals. These staff members actually stay 24 hours a day within apartments/homes rented by the individuals. This is a really good place for differently-abled individuals to feel like they are worth something, so as to further their well being and self worth. I will continue to advocate Marshall-Starke to everyone who is looking for adult, handicapped assisted living/work place.
