"Our tour at Oak Park Place Madison's independent living was very nice and very informative. It's a lovely place with a lot of services. The person who gave the tour was very personable, very nice and willing to answer all my questions. We saw three of the rooms, they were very nice and looked well cared for. We only looked at two bedrooms. They had a smaller 2-bedroom, a medium 2-bedroom, and then they had a 2-bedroom with a den. Their dining area was very well appointed. They had a small exercise room, there was a yoga class going on and they told me is that there was a swimming pool in another building. On each floor there was a communal place where you could go, we saw people putting puzzles together in that area. It looks like they have activities, cards, and different things that you enjoy. The staff who assisted us was very good."

"We have been so happy with the staff, maintenance, and facilities since my mother moved to Oak Park about seven months ago. Her assisted living apartment was freshly painted and the flooring updated before she moved in. Whenever I have a question, the staff is incredibly quick to respond which is so appreciated. The facilities are beautiful and there are so many activities for the residents. It's a wonderful community and we are very lucky to have them in Baraboo."

"This facility is known in our city for its quality look, furnishings, decor and women's groups assisting it. There is a shortage across the board of C. nA and assistant staff in our area so all facilities compete. But Attic Angels has the feature of moving up or down--to more independent apartment or to more dependent nursing home and all part of the same facility. The place looks, smells and feels good. The food is a cut above the usual. There is transportation to shops all over town as well as a library, chapel and store in the facility. Usually waiting lists but check it out for yourself. "

"The thing that I liked about Oak Ridge at University Park was where the apartment was located. It was a corner unit. There were lots of windows. I like the area because I like to walk, so there's a nice area for that. The apartment itself was kind of tough because it had a stack of a washer and dryer, and it was going to be a problem to get dryer open because it was sitting on top of the washer. That would not have worked for me. I would also have had to pay for a lot of things to change, like upgrading the window coverings, because I didn't like what they looked like. Overall, it was very nice, just that there were things that were not acceptable to me. The staff I met was very personable. It was a nice building. The apartment itself was clean. The staff was very helpful and very nice."

"I went to Home Again Living Waunakee, and it is beautiful. If that facility would have been closer, I would have chosen it. I think everything about it was very appealing. I liked the fact that the views out the windows were beautiful. The staff was great and very responsive. The rooms were spacious, well-organized, nicely appointed, and beautifully decorated. It is quite a new facility, so it was very clean and very well maintained too. What I thought was unique about the place was they actually have a bar with happy hours. They also have a movie theater onsite (like a little mini home theater), and a really nice game room."

"Westshire Village at the Lake has a very nice, peaceful, close to country setting. It feels very safe, very warm, and welcoming. It has a nature trail by it and is easily accessible to everything else that one would need, such as any kind of shopping. I just like the community. I've met some of the people there, they seem to be more vibrant. It just meets my needs much better. The staff were very helpful, and very open if you have any questions. It was just very comfortable. They do not have a food program, that's OK with me. They have a very nice kitchen, and I still enjoy cooking, or I'll go out to eat."

"I have had a totally positive experience with this facility The Waunakee Manor. My Grandmother is currently living there because her husband my grandfather - died several years ago and she was getting lonely in her home. facility itself is a very nice place with both rooms and apartments for rent. My grandmother's specific apartment is very roomy with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and separate bedroom. The place was not furnished, which was fine because my grandmother enjoyed decorating it herself with some trinkets from her home. Outside of her individual apartment are other apartments with residents of more or less the same age as my grandma. She enjoys spending time with the other residents playing cards and other games. There are many "meeting areas" within the complex such as a nice reading area in the front of the building, and a large room designed for eating, socializing, playing games, etc. The care she receives is also excellent. She has a personal nurse assisting her daily, but they are not too nosy, and let her be besides the daily care. Overall, a very positive experience for my grandmother as far as I have seen. "

"We toured Noel Manor Retirement Living for my friend, and we didn't have anything that we didn't like. Comparing the other ones, I would say they're maybe a four. The layout was kind of long, and there would have been a little more walking. The room was very good, and the dining area was very clean and looked fine. They had a laundry down the hallway."

"Heritage Monona is of good location near hospitals. We've been there a couple of times and we were treated very well. The cleanliness, the services that are available, the employees and the entire picture is a good one. "

"My sister likes Meadow Grove Apartments. They have a lot of activities there. Everything that she needs, they have it. It is a little pricey, but she likes it. I'm very happy, and I like the place, too. You have your own washer and dryer in the unit. There is also a laundry on the second floor. They have a community area where everybody congregates. They have something to do every day of the week. They have like coffee or tea in the morning. She just missed the bowling activity. And then they have a small exercise room and a small library. It's nice. My sister is on the second floor, which is what she wanted. She has a bedroom and a patio off her living area. It's nice. I've been there several times, and the place is very clean. All their activities that they're having for the day and for the week are on their bulletin board. The manager of the place is very nice and knowledgeable."

"The personal care that my mother is receiving is wonderful. I know that she is safe and that professional care is being administered. The only issue I have with this facility, is the lack of a staff directory for residents and families. When ever an concern arises, we have to call a switchboard and then HOPE that we are directed to the individual who may assist. There are NO direct lines or numbers given for any of the nurses stations, finances, activity directors etc. I understand filtering, but I do not understand the why employees should be so cloistered and difficult to reach. "

"It is an older home, but they keep it clean and comfortable. The staff is really nice. The food is very good. My aunt has actually put on some weight. "
