"My mother has a one-bedroom apartment at American House. They provide laundry service and three meals a day. They have a community room, and they have planned events for the seniors living there. If they do not show up for each meal, someone goes down and makes sure that everything is fine. They also have cords in every room that they'd call for help if they need it. They have a nurse on-staff every day and a doctor on-call. We eat there, and the food seems very good. The staff is very pleasant. They have cooking classes, baking classes, and card games. They also have a bus that takes them out, and once a week, they go shopping. They also have a bus that will take them to their doctors' appointments."

"I looked for a place for my mom and visited American House Sterling Woods Senior Living. The place was clean and the hallways were very pleasant. They had good sized rooms and I liked the kitchen and courtyard. Everyone seemed involved in the activities. I was not able to try the food since I was on a special diet, but it looked fine. I knew some of the residents who lived there and if they did not like the food, they made something else for them. They did not have any complaints at all. "

"I went to Park Place (American House). It was a great place and it had a lot of facilities, it had a movie room and game rooms, excellent dining and it had an indoor little pond area. I've only met a couple of the staff, they were all very nice. I thought that that was the best of the ones that I visited."

"To my knowledge and how I've been treated living here, I give Windemere Park Warren a five. Everybody does a great job. If you need help, they're there. Whatever you need, they're right on the ball helping you out. Every time I needed help, they were there to assist me. They do a good job with housekeeping. Every week, they clean my house, and they do a beautiful job. Every two weeks they do my laundry, and they do a beautiful job. They have all kinds of activities going on. They have bingo, happy hour, barbecue, and a pool table, and they're topnotch for entertainment. The lady does a great job. I'm definitely getting my money's worth and my kids love it."

"We were really pleased with Mary's Center for Seniors because it was smaller. The staff were all very nice and they were able to let my sister-in-law get out of her room and go to the dining room every day. She is only there for about a month. The rooms were a little small, but it was adequate for her. The dining room looked homey. You could watch the staff prepare the food and the looked very nice. They were doing a few activities, but she couldn’t participate because of her dementia. The place wasn’t fancy and that is what we really wanted for her. "

"Baldwin House Hazel Park was a very nice facility. The people were very friendly and very warm. The grounds were well-kept. I liked that they have a lot of things planned for seniors and that each apartment has its balcony and its laundry room. I also liked that they have transportation available for some seniors who don't drive. Overall, they have very nice facilities. I liked it a lot."

"We're satisfied with Pine Ridge of Garfield. The food is excellent. The rooms are very nice and it's bright and sunny here. The people are extremely friendly, both staff and residents. The staff is excellent. The facility is very well cared for. It's all nicely redone. It's just overall a nice place. The price is a little high. They have bingo and different card games. They have cooking and fitness."

"It was really nice and in a convenient location. The food was good. The people were friendly and attentive. The staff showed us around, and it was nice. "

"We toured Lockwood of Clinton. I liked the courtesy of Nancy, who was the tour coordinator. She's into the management of it. I got a chance to say hello to some of the residents, and they were very kind. We went in to see the model and I was like, I love this. She showed us the pool room where they had a pool table. They also had a big TV, and that was in another room. They had a table there if you wanted to drink or eat a snack or something. You could go in there and enjoy yourself. She showed us the big library the puzzle room, which was very nice. She showed us the dining room area and I liked that it was cheery. I told her that my husband had a button from his insurance company that he wears and so forth, and she said they have one here as well. They give it to the residents so that they can keep track of them or if something goes on, they know what's happening and can get the response team to get here as soon as possible. The grounds were kept very nice. They had benches that you could sit outside or if you wanted to sit in the front."
