"The Delaney at the Vale wasn't right for us, but it was a fine facility. The staff was very helpful and spent a lot of time. It really seemed ideal for a certain kind of person, but we wanted to be more urban. We are New Yorkers, and it was like a resort. It's not really what we wanted. We needed it to be closer to town, that kind of thing, but the facility itself was brand new."

"Colonial Gardens Gracious Retirement Living was the best one that I saw. It had a lot of activities. I talked to the activities director and he seemed very nice. He told what was going on and what was to be coming up in the future and it just seemed a whole lot better. It didn't feel like a nursing home. It was different. I don't know how to explain it. If I were to make a choice, it would be that one. The staff seemed very nice. It was great. If someone needed to be in a facility, that's where I would send them. "

"We were able to visit. This place was our first choice because mom liked it. We found that the residents there were very relaxed and very interactive with one another. We love the appearance and the ambiance of the apartments. It was a very warm and welcoming place. They told us all of the activities and showed us the schedule of activities as well. They also showed us the menu so that we would know what kind of meals there were serving. They also told us about the transportation options and the fact that they have a dentist and a doctor on site. They also went over the price list with us. "

"We chose them for my aunt. It's very warm, cozy, and beautiful; beautiful in architecture, and everything about it. It's a nice, warm place when you first step in. The staff is very attentive to the clients. The food is fantastic, and the residents are very happy. Lots of activities. They have bingo, trips, arts and crafts, they have a welcoming party when you first come in which is a phenomenal thing. A welcome dinner which made her really at home with a deejay, food, and family invited. It was a nice experience when you first came in."

"I had moved into Wingate Residences at Needham, but I had to move out again, not that I got sick and nobody around me got sick, but I knew I'd be in lockdown in their senior living and that would defeat the purpose of my living there, so I moved back home. I was there for a couple of weeks. They were very nice. It was a lovely place. They provide excellent service, good food, and things that you would hope for, but I didn't want to be isolated. There's a library, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and a theater, but I couldn't take advantage of any of these things because of the Covid lockdown. I had two Covid tests, so I had to stay in quarantine the whole time. The physical appearance was beautiful. I had a little experience with the activities. I heard an excellent lecture on my first day, but then I had to go on quarantine, so I didn't get to experience anything."

"Sophia Snow Place was pleasant. I had no issues with it; it just wouldn't serve my friend's purposes. It was clean, the people were friendly, and they seemed to enjoy living there. The person who I spoke with was very pleasant."

"We went to Brightview North Andover. Everything was clean. They actually just rehabbed the entire memory care unit. The kitchen cabinets were just going in, so everything is new in there. There was a lot of different activities and things going on to keep the memory care people really active. The rooms were nice. I didn't try the food, although their cookies that I left with were very good. They had a salon. There was a nurses' station. They had an area for physical therapy and a little bit of a gym. There was a library, a study area, and a couple different dining halls. It's on a major road in North Andover. It's kind of set by itself. It was actually an old ski area. It's within minutes of everything. The nearest hospital might be 10 to 15 minutes away, and there are tons of restaurants in Andover and North Andover. It's actually located in a pretty good spot."

"I went to Riverside Wood yesterday. It was like a hotel. The staff was excellent. It's very spacious. I'm going to have a four-bedroom home. It's very clean, and very well-maintained. There is still construction going on."

"I went to Bayberry at Emerald Court, they were really nice, and that was my second choice. It looked like a nice building, it looked very clean, and the staff I was talking to was really nice. It had nice rooms, and the price was comparable to the other place. They did a lot of activities, they do little exercise classes, and they do painting, coloring, and just different things. The building is not very new, but it's kept up well."

"The Residence at Salem Woods was beautiful, grand, and formal. I just feel like it was a little bit more for active and a little bit younger people. My father-in-law is ninety-six. The staff weren't all that great. They didn't seem like they really cared if we came or not. The rooms were beautiful and bigger than those of the other place we visited. The dining area was more beautiful. Everything was more beautiful at The Residence at Salem Woods, and the food was probably better too. It's a little fancier, nicer, and more upscale, but the other one was more homey and felt more like a family. I didn't think it was a proper fit for my father-in-law, but it was beautiful."

"My mom moved into Brightview Concord River. Pricing was transparent, so we've been paying what they told us. Everybody has been very nice, my mother has had to adjust to going there, but she likes everybody. She said the food is excellent. My whole family is very happy. They have bingo, they go out now that the COVID restrictions have been lifted, they have a small bus that they go out into. They've gone out to eat, they've gone sightseeing. It seems like once a week they have a live band, just yesterday they had a car show there with a lot of vintage cars, and I believe the public has been invited, there were a lot of people there."
