I am a resident of Illinois Presbyterian Home. I just like the staff and the way they care for the people who need care. We have very good meals. They cook and the independent people have to go to the other building to eat. If you don't want to go outside and eat, you wouldn't like independent living. But I think the nursing staff does a good job of taking care of the people that live there. They have a library, an activity director, and she does lots of things with the ones that live in that building. We have exercises in both buildings. I lived in two other communities, and Illinois Presbyterian Home was more my type, and the cost was not as high as where I moved from.

I really liked Illinois Presbyterian Home. The time that I went to see them, they were building new duplexes and another apartment building, so I haven't gotten back there since those have been built. I liked that they're not-for-profit and the expenses were reasonable. The lady during the tour was really nice and she said that during the entire COVID outbreak they didn't have any COVID cases. She was very informative and very friendly. All the utilities and the meals are included. It was kind of a limited tour because of COVID, but the facility looked nice. It's central to places. It's not far from shopping and they're nearby restaurants.

We didn’t have a good experience at Fair Hills. They were redoing the lobby area that would probably be better. The flooring and the hallways were nice. They had paintings on the wall as you walked down. The food was not good. The living room looks quite large, but the bedroom was not very big.
