My mom will move in here. I like the size of the rooms, the size of the hallways, the more modern assisted living, and the smaller quantity of people. I think there's like 46 beds in there. It's a nice round building, so no matter which way you do your walking, you'll always end up at your room. The staff are very friendly. The patients are all friendly and eager to help. It's a very impressive place. The appliances are there in the room, but everything else you have to bring. It's just a bare room with a refrigerator and a microwave in the kitchen. The bathroom is just a walk-in handicapped accessible shower, and there's a big closet in the bathroom. It's really nice and good enough for most people. The person who took me around was very good, very friendly, and very attentive to what we needed.

I stayed at Charter Assisted Living of Moline for respite. They're very understaffed and have a very low census. While I was there, there was usually only one person on duty at night, and that person was not a licensed nurse or anybody like that. It was just a person. I took care of all my meds and everything, and they just helped me with a few daily activities and fed me. Some of the staff were excellent and I enjoyed being around them. The food was good, and I had a studio apartment. They had one bus ride to see the Christmas lights in the neighborhood and they had the occasional bingo. They have a courtyard and a nature viewing room with books in it. You can get a book or look out at nature. They had a Christmas party while I was there. They had a fireplace that you could sit in front of and then look at a magazine in the lobby. The gym was under construction and was not available at the time. I would not recommend anybody going there, and the staff that I interacted with who were good are leaving.
