First of all, the staff are terrific - so friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Both of my parents were there with different needs. Each had their own Plan of Care and dad received his therapy there. The food was delicious and there were many options to choose from. They didn't attend a lot of activities but did love the Happy Hour with piano music and sing along! There were a variety of activities, trips, amenities and I would highly recommend Senior Star to anyone who would like to know. Senior Star was just what we'd hoped for and more. Fantastic facility.

Senior Star Elmore Place was a little pricey. The dining area was accessible. They have an exercise room and a library. It looks very clean.

I liked the apartment very much. It had a full kitchen. The menu looked excellent, except they didn't have any food out during the day. Everything extra during the day, you had to buy yourself. It was only two meals a day: breakfast and dinner. The staff during the tour was good. I told her my biggest concern is that there were no extra services or extra help, and she was going to look into that.

Senior Star at Elmore Place is a beautiful upscale facility. The staff members were friendly. There was a big variety of activities. Activities are from 9 in the morning till 6 at night, and you can pick and choose what you want to do. I did not try the food, but the dining room was beautiful. They have the same amenities as with the other place I visited, but they are a little more extensive. The thing that they had that nobody else had was an exercise pool. However, I feel like it was a little too upscale for my brother-in-law because he lived a very simple life. It looked a little bit too fancy for him.

I had an in-person tour of Senior Star at Elmore Place, and it was good. The lady who talked to me took me to a room, and we sat down and talked about my mom, what we were looking for, and my mom's issues. She was really good. We looked at the dining room, and she showed me what meals they had. If you don't like any of those meals, they have another menu. They have a library. She showed me where they have some classes to do exercise. We looked at a one-bedroom apartment and a large studio apartment. They were nice. We talked about the pricing, and she gave me a pamphlet.

I went to Senior Star At Elmore Place. It was very nice. It had a lot of windows, and it was just very welcoming. It didn't feel like a facility; it was more homey. They have a lot of classes, a theater, and game rooms. They offer church services. There are quite a few things for the people to do. The staff was very good. She was very nice and very informative. They gave me some cookies. The apartments were very nice and very roomy. It was very well kept.

Senior Star at Elmore Place seemed to fit all the criteria that my mother will need, and it's conveniently located to myself. I really don't have a lot of experience with it yet. I simply toured it, but they're very friendly and answered questions. Some places put their best foot forward (so to speak), so they make sure that everything is just looking better than what it normally would on every day. It looked very nice there, but I didn't get the impression that they had gone out of their way to do that. I'm going to do independent. They have a pendant that she can wear, so that I feel more comfortable. Even though she's independent, she can push it should she need to. I liked the convenience to everything. I've driven past it for quite a few years, and it's always looked very nice. They're very friendly. I just felt it was a very comfortable place for her to move in. It's not overly large. It's relatively small. The rooms were very nice. They are in the process of remodeling. However, with the shortage of supplies that we're having, it's taking longer than they had anticipated to get the supplies. They have a washer and dryer in each unit, which I think will be good for her. It's just the right size. It's not an overly large apartment, but it's large enough to not feel cramped. The food was very good. They have a main course for dinner, and they have options if that doesn't sound like something you'd like. They have a buffet style breakfast. I basically just tried the dinner, and it was very good and very tasty. They had a pool, crafts, and walking trails around the building. They have this program on the internet that helps with dementia and things like that, like memory games and various games; they're not hard. Some of them are easier, so you don't become frustrated. They have a library, a very nice exercise room, and a bar congregating area for happy hour. It is an older facility, so it needs to have some updates. I only spoke with two people there, and they were very friendly.

We went to Senior Star at Elmore Place. It was beautiful. We toured both assisted living and independent living. They were both beautiful. It was very nice. The girl that took us on the tour was very accommodating and very nice. My friend got kind of worn out and had to sit down for a while. Then they took us in a golf cart over to the independent living building. Everything was beautiful, and there were lots of activities. There was somebody in the office 24 hours a day there. If anybody needed anything, they could come down there. The apartments were beautiful and roomy. It was a gorgeous facility. They had computer access. They had different activities and pool tables. They had a beauty salon in both the independent and the assisted living. Then they have memory care. We didn't tour that, but I know they have a memory care facility there. I know they offer all kinds of activities like bingo, cards, and crafts. If you have a small pet, you could take it. They also have their own little dog park there.

My mother moved into Senior Star at Elmore Place for a month now. Its beautiful, its like a resort, its very clean, and the staff is wonderful. She seems very happy, shes made some friends, and participates in activities. Were very happy with our choice. The staff is very available, met my concerns, and Im pleased. The food is excellent, Ive had lunch with her several times. It was a nice choice, and if you don't like what they have, you could choose a hamburger, or chicken nuggets, a salad, whatever you wanted. Her room is a nice size.

Senior Star at Elmore Place was very clean and everything in there was as if it were your own individual apartment as opposed to a facility type of thing. The only individual I interacted with was a young lady named Tiffany, and to me she was more business-like than family-oriented. It was very clean, convenient, and quiet. The rooms were everything that anyone would want in an apartment. They had their own temperature control for heat and air-conditioning, a kitchen, laundry facility, and it was more of a home-like atmosphere as opposed to institutional. We just can't afford it.

Senior Star at Elmore Place was very good. It was a very nice community, but it was too expensive for my mom. We felt very welcomed. We liked its environment. Their dining facility was very nice. They gave us a small bag of cookies, which was nice, because I had a 4-year-old daughter with me. They also have a small area where you can get coffee, cappuccino, juice, or water.

My husband is living at Senior Star at Elmore Place. There are three different big buildings for memory care, assisted living, and independent living. My husband is in memory care. They take excellent care of him. He has a good relationship with the care partners and with the people who take care of him. I can't say enough good things about it. It's very good. The food is very good, too. They have a lot of activity for the residents. Those who are able to can go swimming in one of the buildings where people are with them to help. Once a month, anybody who can goes on one of the buses for a lunch outing. The staff members are wonderful. Many of the people in this unit have Alzheimer's, but the staff members are so patient with them and very good from anything I have observed. However, I would like it to be less expensive.

I toured Senior Star in Davenport. It was beautiful. However, if both my parents would have to go into assisted living, it would have been quite expensive. It was a beautiful, impressive place, but it wasn’t right for us. They had everything. They had an 8th grade class come in to interview people in assisted living, and that was so marvelous. I was really impressed with that.

Senior Star was OK, but the accommodations were not large enough. It’s a small area. They didn’t have a room that we wanted for mom.

We chose Senior Star at Elmore Place because it is a pretty classy place and doesn’t feel like a nursing home. There are three buildings: memory care unit, the assisted living unit, and the independent living unit. All of the nurses and staff are very friendly. The cost is pretty much in line for what my father needs. So far, it has been a very good experience for our family. They have a lot of daily activities going on. He has a one-bedroom unit with a bathroom and a little kitchenette with refrigerator, a microwave, and he brought in his coffee maker. It’s small but sufficient for what he needs. We tried the food, and it’s very good. His big meal is at noon, and he gets a choice of two different entrees every meal.

We visited Senior Star. The staff was super. They were great. They showed us everything that we needed to see and explained everything in detail. We were totally satisfied with the tour. It was very nice. I would not mind living there myself. It had so many different things to offer that the others didn't have.

I visited Senior Star for a friend. They were excellent. The rooms/apartments were fine, but the cost was a little too high for my friend, so she had to go some place else. The dining room was very nice, but the location of some of the rooms is quite a distance for the residents to go to the dining room.

I like Senior Star. The rooms are smaller than I have ever lived in, but it would be less to keep up, too. The staff is very good, very professional. There was a swimming pool and an exercise room. I ate there, and the food looks very good. It's a dining room for several people.

I visited Senior Star and employees seemed to be fine. I thought the rooms were comfortable. They had transportation that would bring them to different places, and I thought somebody said about bingo.

This is a beautiful, caring, wonderful place. The staff treats you like you are family. It is extremly affodable and offers so much for the monthly price. I am looking forward to calling this my home in the summer.
