I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

St. Anthony of Lansing was nice. The facility was more of an institutional kind of feel, but overall, the greenery was nice, it was clean, and they had activities. My grandma had a one-bedroom apartment and it was nice. It's got a small refrigerator. There's no stove. They had a lot of activities. She was into yoga and all that other stuff. I liked their food because it was healthy. When we first went there, they told us that they had a lot of hands-on services. For instance, my grandma didn't watch her sugar well and she smoked a lot. So, we were trying to talk to them about monitoring things, facilitating that, and getting her to a doctor's appointment. When we were moving in, they told us that they would assist us with that, but when we were already in and everything was going, we found out that that wasn't the case. So, they misrepresented the services that they had provided just to get her in.

My mother was in St. Anthony of Lansing. The layout of the place was very good and in terms of the upkeep, it was clean. The administration was poor. She didn't want to go down to eat the food, and a lot of the staff weren't accommodating. Instead of bringing her food, they would force her to go down and eat, not encouraged but forced. Her room was nice, it was spacious, and they keep it clean like they were supposed to. They also had a patio area.

I visited this facility

St. Anthony of Lansing was great. I would love for my mother to move there. It looks brand new (although I know it's not) and very, very well-kept. The residents looked very happy and engaged. I could see that the staff was very familiar with the residents and just extremely helpful as well as knowledgeable and very friendly. Even the person that gave me the tour, Nedra, really went above and beyond and stayed late for me to even look at the place. Everything is in tip-top shape.

The tour at St. Anthony of Lansing was very good and the staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The facility was excellent, the size of the rooms we saw were very good. They had a lot of things available and community things available.

I visited this facility

St. Anthony of Lansing was very clean. Everybody was very helpful. From the looks on the faces of the residents that I did go past, they seemed to be happy there, too. I went about a half hour to 45 minutes early and I drove around the community. The community also was very clean. I did a little background search of the police history around there, and they score high in my book. I was only there for a while, and it was on a Sunday. I was supposed to see it on Monday. I had to meet with somebody Sunday, but the staff said if I had the time, she could take me through and that really worked out well. They were even concerned and did that for me, and I thought that was awesome.

I moved my 95 year old mother to St. Anthony a month ago. She didn't want to leave her home of 25 years so the transition was challenging. So far she likes it! She likes her apartment, the staff, the food; and best of all she has made new friends. I can't say enough about the staff; especially Nedra, she made the process and transition easy. Interactions with staff members have been positive. I feel comfortable with her being there!

My mother-in-law is very happy at St. Anthony of Lansing. The staff and the residents are very friendly. The apartment is spacious. Overall, the food is lacking, but they have activities, like bingo, music, and trips to local restaurants and stores. She’s socializing, and it’s a good place for her.

St. Anthony of Lansing is for 65 and older, so anyone under 65 cannot apply. It is a newer facility and also has apartment living, which is a one-bedroom. I really liked this facility, and if my sister-in-law was 65, I would apply there as well. It was beautiful, the food was good, and the apartments were easy. It looked like they had plenty of activities during the day, and the staff was very pleasant. I thought that it was a comfortable place. What I liked was when you walk in, there were places for you to sit and visit with family and friends, it had a nice atrium, it was quiet, and it had a nice dining room. The other thing that was good too about this particular one was that it accepted Medicaid.

We will be moving my mom to St. Anthony on the 26th. The number one reason why it is my choice is that originally we are from Illinois and it is just twenty minutes from our house. I like it that when she runs out of money, medicate will pay her assisted living. St. Anthony is a brand new facility and has been open for only about six week. It is beautiful. The staff is outstanding. They have a bus that takes them once a week to stores. They have a doctor there in the premises and twenty-four hour nurses. They will manage her medications. They have social activities. They have a room with huge television where folks can watch the games together. Though mom is not yet living there, everyone is very cooperative, very helpful and very profession in having the paper works accomplished especially in moving her from one state to another.
