"I moved into High Point Residence Tinley Park. It's great. They've updated the building, which I didn't know about until I got here. So, I didn't see anything that was outdated. The staff is limited, but very good. The people who are here are very good. It is supported living, and you really need to accept the fact that it's communal living. I'm only 67, but a lot of folks are a little bit older than that. They have good programs given their budget. They have typical bingo and exercise things. They also have a memory care section. So, these fellows have to take care of both sides. They have outings a couple of times a month. For myself, I'm just a little bit caught in the middle of the millennials and the baby boomers, so I'm seeking some different kinds of activities, a little more active, a little more social. I'm just very glad to be here. The food is awesome. It's three meals a day in a dining room. They've just upgraded their menu a bit. They're short-staffed, but they work really hard and serve balanced hot meals. For people on diabetic diets and dialysis diets, you need to supplement somewhere because it is not a specialized diet. There's a lot of processed food, but it's good."

"My father has moved into Brookdale Orland Park. They seemed to meet all of the needs that he had, and it was a very fair price, so we just really liked it. The only problem that we have had that we're kind of disappointed in is my dad likes to use his computer, and his room is a dead zone and cannot get WI-FI, so that's kind of an issue. Other than that, everything's been great. The staff is very good with my dad. We have had some communication issues, but other than that, overall, they're very attentive to him."

"Hanover Place is close to my father's primary doctors. It was clean. The people were friendly. It's organized. I feel like it's a safe space for my father-to-be. They have done some renovations on the apartment when the last resident moved out, but it's a gracious space. They have a two-bedroom-two-bath with a full kitchen. They don't provide food though. They have a common meeting area, an event space, a laundry space, a gym, and a nurse's station."

"Staff takes good care of my father. Long term care facility is nice and staff are very responsive and respectful. "

"I chose Victory Centre of Roseland for my aunt because I just fell in love with it. It is very welcoming and pleasant. Every employee that I came across was very nice. Now that my aunt is there, they are so helpful with her. I'm so happy she's getting around OK. She loves them. She told me how everybody is so nice to her and how they speak to her. They call her by her name, and that is important to her. The place is lovely and just friendly. She is doing well going to the dining room. She is loving it because it is so close by. The moment she steps off the elevator, the dining room is right there. Her apartment is not far from the elevators, too. It's just so convenient. They do movies, and they have a salon. They have just been really helpful."

"Our experience at Bickford of Tinley Park was excellent. It was very impressive. The rooms were adequate. The dining area was very nice, very welcoming, and had a warm feeling. It’s a brand new facility. It’s only been open less than a year, so it’s very nice and clean. "

"My husband is in British Home right now. He is in a double room, but it's very nice. For the most part, the staff is 90% terrific. He's trying to do some physical therapy. He's got COPD, and he is having a hard time, and they're trying to get things figured out for him. He really enjoys when they bring music around. They have music on Friday and Sunday. He is a former musician, and he likes the things that they have. He can't really do some of the things, as he's got some cognitive problems. The dining area is very nice. You're able to sit out and talk with the people if you wish and it's very pleasant. "

"I had an in-person tour of the Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge. I like the friendliness. The lady let us talk to some of the people that live there, and they were very friendly. They told me about all the different activities that they do. They go out and do outings a lot. They have a garden if they plant. Talking to the actual residents was the best part of the whole tour. I could see my dad having a full life if he lived there and be able to interact with people and go to places. The staff was very nice and helpful. The way they have the dining area set up was nice. They take their orders like they're at a restaurant, and I like that as well. The residents said that the food was good."

"Franciscan Village was very nice. It was clean and organized. They have two buildings, but they separate them into three. I saw all of them, but we took my mom for a tour only in building three. It had a very pretty chapel. It was peaceful. They were renovating the room that was available at that time, but it looked very nice. They had a salon. We saw the dining room and looked at the menu. I only met the receptionist there and I think it was Christine that showed us around. She was very helpful and very nice."

"Everybody at Porter Place seems to be nice and attentive. The facility is nice, and the room is large enough. Some of the rooms are furnished, but mom has her own furniture. What I don't like about it is that you don't have access and you have to wait to get in and out, so there's always somebody at the front desk so you can get buzzed in, and when it's time for you to leave, you have to find somebody especially if you wait after 8:00 because nobody's at the front desk after 8:00. "

"We were at Sunrise of Willowbrook for a very short time, and it was actually very good. Their director of nursing had set up a very caring program for the residents."

"A wonderful concept of providing care. Instead of being an institutional environment, it is a comfortable single-family home that has been designed for this purpose. My grandmother loved the fact that she lived in a single family home, with three other residents, while getting all the help that she needed. I would recommend Golden Age to anyone who is looking for a place that offers assisted living. Like they claim...at Golden Age you don't live in a home, you live at home."

"We went to Marian Village. It wasn't a tour, it was sitting down in a media conference room and going over stuff with one of the administrators there talking. It was a good visit, we enjoyed it. We went over my mother's possible needs and what they could offer. They gave us good information and we talked about prices. It was maybe a 45-minute meeting, but it was good and very helpful. The staff who accommodated us was very knowledgeable, she was very helpful. She was patient and very pleasant to deal with. They went over the type of accommodations that they have, the price points, and different care levels. They also went over some activities and the meals for the residents. The facility was very nice, everything was very clean, and well manicured. It looked like a modern facility. It presented itself very well from the outside. As you walked in the building, it looked very nice too. It was very clean."

"This facility is so beautiful! Every time I pass Evergreen Memory Care I am amazed at how this facility adds so much to the community. It draws your eyes to the beautiful landscaping and cleanliness of the grounds. I have heard such wonderful things about Evergreen from friends who are thinking about placing their loved ones in such loving hands. They have nothing but great things to say about the delicious food that the residents rave about and how kind the staff is!! I would recommend Evergreen to anyone. Keep up the good work!!! I am definitely keeping this facility in mind for my parent when the time arises. "
