my husband was moved to this facility due to Hurricane Michael, 10-10-19. While we were there, we got so little care and concern. The Glencove nurses, contr0lled the meds for him. All were supposed to be evacuated elsewhere after hurricane. My husband received no meds, he had a kidney transplant 9-1-13. As a result of all the events, I had to evacuate him from this establishment, myself. I told the man in charge, my husband has to go and now. he said i'll put him in your car and you drive to first hospital and they will take him. As a result of these events he has lost the transplanted kidney. Now he lives on dialysis 3 days a week. I feel that rehabs should give better care. Be a lot more clean.

My relative stays at this facility and the service is good when they have the correct nurse.s They tend to have problems walking patients, Seems that Items you purchase show up disappearing.!!!!! I would hope that staff is not taking items. When you walk in the facility at the desk On the side more on the evening side the lady at the desk is not friendly and is some what moody.. after you have been at the site several times and suggested ways to make your relative better they seem to treat you differently which is more negative. Those who care they really good care and works hard to make the patient pleasant. I think the state should visit all nursing homes and asked family what they think.. They put those who need assist in a wheel chair and never walks them from what I see. Some management wants to know what could they improve you tell them and nothing get done. So what is the point. The food is bad the staff don't even eat it. I understand it cost money to run a facility but really these people that lives here in the facility are human.too! This happens at more of the facilities than you know.. The facility is generally clean so they made the rating Average

There were issues with Panama City Nursing Center. They had a lot of clothing issues. The laundry service of the nursing home was doing my mother-in-law's clothes and they would lose her clothes frequently. It's a very crowded nursing home. The hallways were crowded. The facility is old and I think they're trying to convert a small facility into a larger one without building anything. They had rooms that had four patients in one room, that's very crowded to me. My mother-in-law was in a room with a patient who made a lot of noises that disturbed her sleep at night. It did not work out well for her. The nursing care was okay but the nursing assistant (the one that helps with the bathing), their services were very poor. The laundry services and the food were poor.

My Mom who has dementia and other medical issues has been there for almost a year. The staff are wonderful, kind and considerate, the food is good and there are snacks if the pt does not eat at meal time. It is immaculate with no odor whatsoever. I am a retired nurse with experience in long term care administration and I have been very pleased and my Mom is happy there.
