I visited this facility

There is a lot to like. If I have to go, that would probably be the one I would go to because it is more open. Some of the residents were sitting on the front porch. Some were in the large area where you first go in. It is an open place, which I like. Actually, some people think that's a hotel because that's what it looks like. The apartments were a little small, but that's probably standard. When you go into a room, there is a little kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave. Then you go a little further in, and there is like a small living room where you could have a sofa, a TV, and a chair, and then, there's the bedroom. It is all open. Of course, there is an accessible bathroom. You could actually roll a wheelchair into the shower It is a large place. It's three stories. They have an exercise room, game rooms, and what they call a wine room, where they serve a small glass of wine if they want. They can play games there. There are some private rooms, too, if they want to have a birthday party. It's the members' private area. The dining room is very nice and large. It's an excellent place.

I toured. I love that place. They had a little pond out front. However, the size of the room was just so small. But they had this thing where if their people fall, it has a sensor, so they know, and I like that. The people were great. Everything was clean, and all their employees or staff were very helpful, friendly, and good with the client. The dining area was clean and functional.

I was very impressed. They showed me a menu and it was nice. They have two choices of entrees each day of the week, and they have alternate choices, too. It looks like a really good menu. They gave us a list of all the activities and it was really good. They take them out once a week. Lauren and Misty couldn't be any better. They were really nice and informative. They were just great.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband is now in here. I have no problems with the staff. They have been really nice and helpful. The only thing he needed is an appointment with the neurologist, and that hasn't been done yet. His room there is nice, but they had taken the door off of the bathroom because the person that was in there got mixed up or hung up about it. He seems to like the room pretty well. It's just that the bathroom needs the door. We got a television for him there. The food is very good. They can eat whenever they want to. They have a certain time for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If they want something in-between, they can eat. The atmosphere of the place is very good. They are just very cordial and helpful. My husband has a problem, but they are trying to work with him as best as they can, so that's very good. One thing that I am concerned about is the activities. They haven't been out of the area. They are comfortable to stay together and watch TV. My husband participated in singing, and I really liked that. They have the therapists that come in to give them some exercise.

It was very nice. They seemed to be very, very caring over there, so I was happy with it. The staff member that gave the tour was very caring and understanding of me. They do different outings and stuff, and the rooms were very nice. My husband is going to be sharing a room with someone else, and we're going to see try and see if it works. The facilities seemed very clean.

We toured for my brother-in-law. That one was top-notch. I enjoyed the woman that gave us the tour. They had a lot of outings. They're in the middle of the beach, but that's one thing I didn't like. They were too far out for us. I grew up on the beach and I didn't want to have to go back out there all the time. But they did have a lot of activities where they took the residents out to see things and do things off campus and I like that. They had activities that they plan on the campus as well. They had a very active activities department. And their facilities were excellent.

I particularly would not be interested in placing my father there. For his level of care, he could just walk out of the building. I did not like that at all. The staff were very friendly. They had a courtyard. They had a gathering spot outside of the facility at the front door. I didn't particularly like that. They have a movie theater and a place for happy hour, which I thought was odd. They have a library.

I went to check out their memory care area and it was clean. The staff seemed friendly and it was a nice place. The only thing was they were full and Panama City Beach doesn't have much in it. The person who took me around was good. It was very clean and I remember walking by rooms that were set up with puzzles and books. They help the residents with everything, like doing the laundry, with the medication, the bathing, and all those activities for daily living.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My Mother-in-law moved in on the 30th of March and I likes it. Everything is nice, but I'm hoping that she doesn't have to stay that long. She is doing therapy now, so if she can get her strength back and get to walking, hopefully we can get her back to our home. We are pleased with everything there so far. They have activities there, but she is not able to do any of that yet. She gets her food delivered to her room and from what I've seen, it looks good. She said she's fine there and they are taking good care of her. They have a library, a chapel, a place where they could play bingo and they have a hairdresser.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I can only say good things. The staff is wonderful, the residents are nice, and the place is extremely clean. It's just a wonderful place. The food is outstanding, it's just common food that we like to eat but it's really good food. The building itself is beautiful, it's clean, very nice, and has everything you could need. I have a 2-bedroom apartment with a little kitchenette, and it's just like being at home.

It was very nice. The location was prime real estate on the beach, so for people who want to go to the beach, it was convenient, but for a lot of assisted living people, I don’t know if they would want to go to the beach. The place was really nice and new, and everybody was really nice. This is definitely one of the two places that I was considering for my mother. It was a nice little room that was down the hallway and very convenient, everything was wide open with big doorways and everything, so they could get wheelchairs around, and the bathrooms were really nice. All the facilities were really nice but the rooms were nice. I wasn’t there when they were actually eating. I got there in-between meals, but I looked at the menu and it seemed pretty cool, it seemed like a good selection and the reviews that I read were pretty good. They are able to bus them to the mall and to the different areas around the Care Park, which made it really convenient. From what I saw, it was really good.

I am sure my dad is OK here. Everybody is really nice, and we just have a little difficulty with him eating sometimes, so we have asked them to try to keep an eye on him and try to help him kind of get by some stuff. The staff is really nice; we really like them. There are different hours, so we see a lot of different ones. We are not just there during the day, we were there this afternoon, and there is a different staff on the weekends, and then there are different ones during the week -- different in the evening and different in the morning -- but we are very happy with them.

It was the one that we were going to go with. I loved it. They had memory care. It was so much like a resort, not like a nursing home. The rooms were awesome. They were really trying to meet the needs of the people and had a theater in the big room with theater-type seating, and an art activity room. They had activities going on, and the residents came and went as they pleased. If they need it, they transport them to doctors' offices and they take trips. They can sign up and go to the movies, and it’s close to the beach, so they have different outings. On the third floor, they had like a little happy hour from four to five every afternoon. They can only have two glasses of wine or beer while they gather and socialize. I was so impressed with the way they were trying to set things up. One lady was a retired librarian and all she knew was shelving books, so they bought a book case and had books in there, so she could come in and shelve them.
