"I went here. The building and rooms were nice. It was a good place, but it was not what I was looking for. There were ladies doing crafts in the nice dining area, and they had it set up where you can get snacks. That was good. The facilities were nice I really liked the front part, but I think the memory care was scarce."

"We went to visit Wellington Place of Ft. Walton Beach assisted living facility since we were looking at places for my friend's mother to live. The outside grounds had many exotic plants that were extraordinarily vibrant. The circular drive provided easy access. The interior foyer was fresh, bright and spacious. The facility offers plenty of amenities - like social enrichment activities within the community. The lunch we saw was like you might find in an upscale diner. They also had a private dining room for friends and family to enjoy. The restaurant style dining area was fresh and bright with a light color scheme. The staff takes residents on weekly outings for shopping and entertainment. The exercise area had nicely appointed equipment and offered exercise classes. The spacious private rooms were nicely personalized with comfortable furniture and colors. This assisted living facility offers residents flexibility and comfort. The respectful and professional staff is kind and caring. "

"The Meridian at Westwood looks very lively and had a great progression of care provided. The common area was happening with a lot of activity. The residents are taking advantage of all they had to offer in the common area. My only concern was it was very hot in there, but I know elderly people get cold easily, and it was temperature controled to be that warm. Other than that, the staff was very friendly. The facilities were nice. The place was lively and clean. The mood in the area was very uplifting."

"The facility is well kept and the staff are friendly. They have nursing staff to give out medication. The meals are good. The activities for residents could be better. A doctor visits the facility on a regular basis. Getting information about how a resident is doing is sometimes difficult. Some of the staff are exceptional and others not so good. "

"Beehive Homes is a nice place, but it didn't have as many amenities. They have a room, but the other facility has a little apartment which gives them a little more privacy. The staff was really nice, but I felt like they needed to have some place large enough for the family members checking into a place. They needed to have a quiet place in an office area to talk to people. If you want to go talk to somebody, you don't want to sit out in the open with all the residents. Usually you would like to go into an office area. The rooms were clean and nice. In comparison with the other facility, it was kind of small. The eating place was not as intimate. One of the things I noticed was that their yard area had steep hills. Usually people of that age cannot go on steep hill because it would not be safe. "

"My mother was a resident of Crystal Bay, an assisted living facility, in Destin, Florida for a number of years. I visited her for the last time just two months ago. I felt that she lived a happy end to her life. I feel that she lived to the fullest extent possible given her physical limitations due to age. She was previously in a different assisted living facility nearby but she did not like the quality of the care she was receiving so I helped her move to Crystal Bay. Crystal Bay is far nicer than the old assisted living facility. At Crystal Bay the rooms are very large and well priced. The staff is incredibly friendly and they are all trained in care of elderly people. I know that she made friendships with many of the staff members and they did everything in their power to make her days happier. "

"We are planning on moving my mom to The Beacon at Gulf Breeze. I've seen it and I liked all the amenities they had for her. I liked the people and the staff was kind. They have a memory care facility, which is something she needs. It was a good and clean place. I have also tried their food and it was excellent. I was treated wonderfully by the staff during my visit. They are very kind and very understanding. It was just a great experience there. It's a big facility and they seem to have what they need. It's also sectioned off well. There is a whole section of people who can get around and do things on their own, and then there's a section for those who can't. They keep that separate, which is a good thing, so I was impressed with their layout. I like the way that they didn't have everything all mixed up."

"It is brand new, so everything is immaculate, and it looks nice. I can't remember the name of the person who showed me around and talked to me, but she was very friendly and very nice. I liked her. They have several little dining areas, and they were all nice. It was well lit. It was nice. They also have a separate dining area that you could reserve for family things for up to 20 people, which is very nice, too. They have an exercise area and a movie theater where they show movies. It felt more homey than an institution. It's brand new and it's very nice. Not only were they the nicest looking and newest, but they were also very expensive."

"I really like that Hawthorn House was a non-profit community, and it was for military widows. All the people I've dealt with so far, my mom has had no complaints. She really likes the food, the chef they've got there is awesome, and all the staff there has been really good to her. They helped her unpack, put everything where she wanted, and set up all her furniture. She didn't have to do anything. From what I've seen, her room is really nice. It's not too big and not too small, it's just right for her and her stuff, and everything she needs there. Because of COVID-19, they're not able to do activities outside but they're able to get creative, so I appreciate that they're trying to do everything they can."

"My wife has moved into The Blake at Miramar Beach. It's just excellent. Upkeep and cleanliness are excellent, too. I like the caregivers. They are competent and loving. They have excellent food and excellent activities for the participants. They have an activities director, and they're always doing something to keep the people active, like doing exercises, riding around in wheelchairs, sitting outside in the sun, in the courtyard, and things like that. I chose The Blake at Miramar Beach, based on recommendations from hospice nurses and physical therapists. I've tried their food and it's like eating in a restaurant. Value for money is excellent. It's new, clean, and well maintained."

"We're very happy with Somerby of Santa Rosa Beach. The entire staff is very caring, whether it's the dining room staff, the CNAs, or the housekeeping. Everyone is very loving. If I wasn't happy, my in-laws wouldn't be there. The food is really good and there are lots of choices. There are a lot of activities provided. They're expensive, but then everything is."

"My stepfather and mother-in-law are in The Blake of Gulf Breeze. It is great. It is the nicest place around here. It is very highly rated. They have very good food. The security is good. The staff is treating them excellent. I've worked for long-term care business for 15 years and I think this is the best place for them. The only thing I say they could improve on is food variety. "
