"The people at Meridian at Westwood were very friendly and nice. They did very well and showed us everything. The place was very clean and they had a lot of things to do. They had a courtyard, a pool table, and a swimming pool."

"I went to look at American House Bluewater Bay. The facility is more modern, and that was good. The least about it is that I don't believe there was any progressive care as you get older and get worse physically. It was just strictly independent living. The staff was very nice. Everybody smiles. They had a larger game area, a heated pool, and everything that you probably wanted. I was surprised at how small the movie theater was. Overall, it's a very nice place. We didn't see anything that was unkempt. It is not near any major hospital, but it is near about seven or eight decent restaurants."

"I was extremely impressed with Crystal Bay. They were very kind and assisted me for the tour. It appeared to be extremely well-kept, maintained and well-staffed. It would be a delightful place to live but unfortunately I could not afford it. "

"I lived at Bob Hope Village for a while, but I was not really happy with it. Every time you turn around, things were getting more expensive. You have to pay for everything. It was an old apartment, and you can hear the noise of the neighbors. It was horrible. The food was very good -- just a little expensive. The security was great because they had police officers that walk around all the time. You cannot have pets. They had a lot of recreational things to do. The staff was nice. I never heard anybody yell at anybody else, and they take care of the residents’ needs as soon as they can. They had little computers where you can schedule your work thing. You cannot get anything done unless you have a work order which was understandable. Everything had to be known. They have an exercise room and a pool. They also had classes for swimming. I just did not like it because the walls were thin, but the size of the apartment was great. I had plenty of room for everything. Everything was pretty good, but there could have been a lot of improvements. "
