I have a family member in this facility. They have resided there for over a year. Upon choosing a facility they seem to be the best & told us all the things you wanted to hear. I'll get right to the point. If things seem to good to be true, well you know the saying, they are not. It's pretty on the outside & in the front door, but as you to the left or the right to the patiences living areas you see the same as all the others. The AC has been in need of repair for years does not work half the time, the plumbing is shot, the roof leaks, the laundry facilities are way below capacity for the number of residance, floors are old & stained & soiled, it is very noisey & unorganized. All their equipment is old & worn-out (beds, wheel chairs, bed side tables, shower chairs, etc. The cna's only a few really care. The majority its just a easy job to do nothing & get paid as long as you can. The food & menus do not meet most of patience required diets as a mattter of fact none do. Patience are in the hallways in their wheel chairs in need of all care. Some are totally out of it & the others that are able are begging for water, to go to bed or need to be changed. They sit all day in these positions & conditions & no one seems to care. Are put to bed late & not properly cleaned. Their hygeine is terrible, clothes are usually soiled with food or other! Their hair needs combing, their teeth need brushing, most need a good long cleansing shower, a shave (even the women), nails done, toe nailsdone, skin is rough itching scaling, sores & so on. I can't understand how the administrative persons continue to allow people to work & be paid to give unacceptable care to our love ones. But most of all they need to be treated with diginity, love & caring people we have chosen Community for this was what we were given in writing & they guaranteed our loved ones would get. Not true!

The facility was clean but it seemed old. It could have used a new paint job and flooring. The rooms were clean and the aids and nurses were kind and helpful. It seemed to me that I saw the aids more frequently than the nursing staff. The nursing staff seem to stay at the desk and were not to active with patient care. This could be because I visited in the late evenings. Snacks for my friend were available. He had a television and a phone, but he had to provide for himself. His television did have cable stations but this was an addiitonal cost. He did not have a private room he shared his room with a gentlemen that was on a feeding tube and was very unresponsive. It would have been nice for him to have someone he could have talked with. The room did have a private bath that the two men shared. It was not in very good condition, but it was clean. My overall feeling was that the facility was old and in need of repair, but it was the best he could afford.
