My husband has been T Waters Edge for the past 18 months- During this time we have dealt with medical issues that were quickly taken care of by the nursing staff, issues addressed by physical therapy and staff. Due to my husbands respiratory issues, they are addressed by the respiratory therapist- I’m so grateful she is there - we had been here 5 years ago and discharged home- this time it’s taken a bit longer to go home- still working on it!

Don't be fooled. When you tour this place, there are plenty of staff around. But in real life, they are severely under-staffed and the quality of care is poor. When you walk down the hall, you will hear residents calling out for help and no one responds. Do NOT entrust your loved one's care to this place. I wish someone had warned us beforehand.

Water's Edge is an extremely well landscaped and maintained facility; however, looks can be and are deceiving. I wish I could say the same for the majority of the staff. While the Therapy personnel cannot have enough good things to praise them, both the nursing and nurses aids staff need to be trained in both customer service and medical service. More than 50% of nursing staff are rude, bullying, and totally uncaring. Recently my mother was in Water's Edge with a thigh wound that should have been dressed daily. Most nurses and aids did not dress the wound and passed that responsibility unto others. Because of this, we now have to have wound care which is a problem that should have never happened. We never met the doctor assigned to my mother's care. After 20 days, we finally gave up trying to met or speak to him. As for the nurses, all though we brought up the fact that either the wrong medication or no medication was given, no one ever resolved the problem. We brought meds from home that were thrown out and were told the meds had expired dates on them although we had picked them up from Walgreens that same day. The aids, especially those who work the night shift, are bullies, especially to the patients that are either hard of hearing, have poor vision or both. Also, for the amount of money this facility receives on a daily basis, heat is turned off in the middle of the night. For example, one morning the temperature in the room was 60 degrees, cold by any standard. Beware!
