My 85 year old aunt was there she was left on the toilet for 30 minutes the staff didn't care the call station at nurse's desk had loads of lights flashing meaning people needed help that they ignored there was a fork under aunts bed she dropped that was there for 5 Days that's how often the room was cleaned also she had 1 shower in 7 days bed was not changed and she was left lying in her own waste after having diarrhea for hours This place needs to be shut down it's inhumane to treat people like that

My friend was a resident of Ormond Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The communication was not good at all. It took several calls to finally get through to talk to her. They refused to keep the phone next to her bed. She had minimal eyesight and she was not able to get out of bed without assistance. So the phone was never within her reach, and getting anyone to call you back was unheard of. I called several times and waited for the director to call me back for three weeks. Then when she finally called, she didn't even know that my friend went to the hospital, and to top it off, you would think nurses would be able to handle a stressful situation. The nurse called me frantically and said, "We have to send her to the hospital. We have to send her to the hospital", and when I asked why, she was like, "I'll just have to call you back", and she hung up. I never did get a callback. She also called my friend's niece, who used to be the power of attorney, but then I was power of attorney. So they never read the paperwork, so they called her at first, didn't explain anything, just hung up on her. Then she called me to tell me that the rehab was going to be contacting me. I called the hospital up the road from where that is and Ormond. That's how I found out that she had been to the hospital and why, after they did some tests, it wasn't until later that evening, after, I want to say 9 or 10:00 that I got a call from a nighttime nurse that my friend was sent to the hospital earlier that evening because she went to the hospital at probably about 3:00 and left me a message when I already had the information. She was supposed to be there for physical therapy and not sure how much therapy she was getting because I never got any kind of updates, never any communication about that, but it was pretty obvious if she had double pneumonia, she wouldn't be out of bed very much. Then she had severe sepsis on top of that. It was not fun. So I still have complaints to do for the home itself, and I plan to do and report it.

I was a patient there and had dr. Check me out as soon as possible. I seen no skilled nursing care and if you complained attitudes by all personnel. You are left in your bed with no one checking on you. The incompetency's never stopped from the time i checked in to the time i checked out. Medicare needs to do a overhaul there.

I had issues with the staff at Signature Healthcare of Ormond. What happened was the patients that are there were abused, and that was terrible. It appeared to me that, that has been going on. I talked to a nurse there, and she said that is just the way it is. I had my mother in there, and she told me she wanted to get out of that facility. The food was average. The dress of the people there was really sloppy. They were not neat. The food is poor, and the cleanliness of the staff is not got at all. I think they need to fire the staff there, and administration, and start all over again.
