This new facility will include the latest point of care technologies to help improve the management of chronic disease conditions that are often at the center of debilitating conditions that result in the need for skilled nursing care and institutional care. We have created a campus style concept that will create a real sense of community while ensuring the homelike characteristics that are vital to the principles of home and community based care. This new campus will offer residents and their families a wide range of options and price points that will ensure their needs are met in a setting that best fits their lifestyles, needs and preferences. We will have a spacious 36 acre campus that will feature extensive opportunities for walking and being able to engage the environment in a safe and meaning manner. Our plan calls for outdoor destinations and living spaces that will be connected with the latest in electronic surveillance and call response systems. The campus will allow residents to move from apartment style living arrangements to indoor facilities and will allow residents a choice of private and semi private accommodation all within an array of affordable price points. When completed the campus will feature 180 licensed assisted living facility beds that will be divided among 7 separate buildings. Additionally, the campus will feature a 40 person adult day care facility for those families that need help caring for a family member during the day or evening that will operate from 6am to 11pm seven days per week. The adult day care program will offer an array of options and will include a wellness program and exercise facilities and socialization programs. The campus will also include a chapel and offices for the more than 80 employees that will be employed at the peak of campus occupancy. To learn more about this providers license and review other available state reports, please visit: Florida Agency of Health Care Administration

The cost was too high at Dayspring Senior Living. The manager and the person who handles the billing were knowledgeable and nice. It's a sad atmosphere. There were a lot of people in the lobby and sitting out front. They're generations ahead of me, and I'm only 67. The people there looked like they were in their 80s. The atmosphere was very slow moving and not positive.

Provider Response

Thank you for your comments. The average pricing for Assisted Living in Northeast Florida according to the cost of care studies - https://www.genworth.com/aging-and-you/finances/cost-of-care.html - if you were to look at Jacksonville region the 2018 cost was $4425/month for care. The statewide average is $3500 for ALF CARE. Our rates at $2650 for a private room, fully furnished with care and services and TV in the room is a great value. The facebook page will help you track some of our resident engagement programs, there is a great deal of engagement with health care providers, on site services such as home health, rehab services, primary care, behavioral health counseling and assessment and we are set to start implementing cardiology specialist on site and we have podiatry on site. The move towards larger open spaces is about getting residents into the common areas where they can socialize with others and whether it is on our front or back porches residents enjoy spending time with one another. We schedule regular outings, residents travel to off site programs during the day if they choose and we schedule excursions for the residents. The James Building has a memory care wing and we care for residents with dementia in this building. Our second building is under construction and it will feature a more active life style. This new building will not be focused on Dementia but rather cardiac care and stroke care.

Dayspring Senior Living was something I probably could have gotten into, but it wasn't for me. It's very new, so they only had 20 residents who weren't communicating, talking, or doing anything. They were sitting around falling asleep when I was there at 11:00 in the morning. This was a place where you get a very tiny room, share a bathroom with some other lady, and get closet that's no bigger than a broom closet. The whole thing was not for me at all. It's very new, so they have a lot to do out there yet to make it friendly and liveable.
