My mother is in rehab at Cypress Cove. It's been a very good experience. They've been on top of everything and I've been pleasantly surprised. The staff is really good. The facility is clean. All of them have been very good about keeping in touch with me. If he acts a little bit odd or if they know that she might have an infection, they are automatically sending things out for tests to check her. They've actually pretty much in all areas done really well. She doesn't love the food, but she's a picky eater. They do nail care, they're always making sure they're dressed nicely and not just in pajamas lounging around. She's always dressed. They have music, they bought her harmonica to play, they go fishing and other things, movie time, and they're always doing her hair. It's an older building, but it's clean, meticulous, and spotless.

My overall tour experience with Cypress Cove Care Center was a good one. I had no problems with the place. It was just a matter of deciding which was better for my mom as far as closeness to us. There are six of us and we live in different parts of Florida, but Cypress Cove Care Center was just as good. I have nothing bad to say about that at all. They were clean. It was a nice place. The person who did the tour was very friendly, very helpful, and gave me all the answers that I had to any of my questions. The dining area was also very nice. The rooms were very nice. They were being kept very clean. They were semi-private rooms and they seemed to have ample space for your clothing and personal items and stuff like that.

I went to Cypress Cove Care Center. It was very nice, it was clean, and the staff was very friendly. The one thing about that one, when I was leaving, I spoke to two people in the parking lot. One lady I spoke to said that her mother had been there two and a half years and she was very pleased. That was important to me because that was outside of the facility and somebody else's opinion. I talked to a gentleman whose wife had been there for six months, and he said so far he was very pleased. It's an older building, but it's well maintained.

Cypress Cove Care Center was very good. I used to volunteer there. The staff was excellent. I saw people sitting outside. The people were very friendly, they seemed to care a lot about their patients, and they had a lot going on. They were taking people out, they were taking them out to breakfast, or to go shopping. They have trips once a month, and I thought that was important. They had a nice outside area. They had music, they did crafts, and there was always a big calendar which showed what was going on. It was very clean, with no smell. It was really immaculate and very nice.

My parents were in Cypress Cove at least a year or longer. The staff is great, Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The rooms and all were spotless. The food is delicious and it was great eating in the dining room with my parents at times. This rehab is one of the very best and the employees are always there to help in any situation..

Everything was good at Cypress Cove Care Center, which was highly recommended to me by a friend. The staff was great, but the younger aides were not interested in the patients; they were just chatting with their friends. The facility is clean and well maintained. The food was delicious. They made sure you were seated the minute you walked into the dining room.

At this time my husband is a resident of this facility. I do have a complaint. Why isnt there a quicker response to patients when they ring there bell????? Several are bedridden and have the very basic need to use a bathroom. I have been there with my hubs for a week.just check on them quickly please. They can't do it on their own. Be compassionate. Having had direct experience with my mother's care, from four different facilities in the state, I highly recommend Cypress Cove to any and all that inquire. It is clean, special dietary needs are met, most all my concerns were addressed immediately, and the staff, from administration to cleaning and maintenance, were wonderful and very caring. Although not a new and modern facility, the level of care is way above average. It would have been nice to have more covered non-smoking areas, other than the front entrance (6 outside seating areas, only 1 smoke-free), with employee smokers area just 10 feet from patient windows, nor do the staff all wear photo/ID tags. However, I would gladly be a future patient, if ever needed.

The Nursing home my grandfather was put in was absolutely wonderful. They took great care of my grandfather. They always catered to his needs. The facility was always clean and sanitary. Each and every nurse that I came into contact with was very sweet to me and my grandfather. I can't say I ever really had any problems with anyone or anything. The food was descent. They have a well balanced meal for breakfast lunch and dinner. My grandfather, however, had to have a stomach tube put in and was not able to eat the food. I have been to several nursing homes and I can't say positive things about all of them. My grandmother was in a different facility and I had a complete opposite experience with her. That facility let them lay in their own feces and bathed them only every other day. I am thankful my grandfather was put in this facility where they took good care of him.

Cypress Cove was very clean in every room or hallway that I walked thru while making daily visits to see my mother. The staff was friendly and explained the billing and how medicare payments were made. They had progress meeting to explain how my mothers rehab was going. We decided to have the facility do my mothers laundry and several items were lost. Also, her perfume that we bought her for mothers day disappeared. When I reported it, they said to bring in the receipt and they would try to replace it. We just forgot about it because it wasn't worth the hassle. My mother spent 2 different visits here and finally passed away at the nursing home. During almost a year, I became close to many nurses that really loved my mother and showed sadness with her passing. I rated this 3 stars only because of the missing clothes and other items that we could not find. When I went to retrieve her belongings, the tv was not on the cart. We found it on the dresser. We also lost a $2400 hearing aid. The passing of a parent shouldn't make you have to search for missing items while your grieving.

My mother wants a place close to her home and in her own community area so we decided on this facility. It's not a new place with swimming pools and golf course but this place is very clean, ample and is well taken care of. The rooms are very clean as well. The staff is very responsive to us, especially to her. She's already 90 years old and very demanding, but they handle her with great graciousness. At home, my mother's sugar level was uncontrollable. But when she entered this facility, it stabilized, an evidence that they're giving her the care she really needs, excellent medication and providing her good food. I witnessed 3 activities when I visited my mom: for education, for physical and for speech. In addition, they make sure their resident's calendar is full of daily activities. Example, they have movies, ice cream, fishing in a local lake, bingo and other card games. Last Easter, they held a tea party for the residents. To render better service to their clients, it can help if a professional person reports the progress of the resident to a family member once a week or once every two weeks.
