"My grandmother moved into Concord Place last week. The biggest reason why we chose it was the cost. Her costs increase slightly as she needs more help. It's a nice place. The people are very nice there. She likes it. They have a pool. They have different activities there. They have a workout facility and a theater. It's also 10 minutes from where I work, so that's convenient for me to be able to go over there if she needs anything. We had two meals there, and the food was very good. The building's cleanliness is very good, too. They have activities. My grandmother played bingo, and they had a dance. She had a good time."

"The staff at Victory Lakes were superb. My parents lived in Independent Living until my dad passed away. The last 1.5 years my mom was in Memory Care. In each area we witnessed loving and caring employees who always had our parents best interest in mind. Victory Lakes was an excellent place for my Mom at the end of her life. The Catholic services, communion in home, visits with music staff, exercise and activities brightened Mom's day. The staff accommodated for our 7 sibling visits from out of state, Mom's dietary restrictions, medication changes and in the end, Hospice care for Mom. Fred was Moms' favorite nurse ~ he would sing to her and she would find great joy in that! It was a blessing to honor Mom and Dad's desire to live independently through their continuum of life at VL."

"I like everything about The Garlands of Barrington, don't know what I didn't like about it. They're beautiful and very upscale. The staff who assisted us there was wonderful. The food was great, we had lunch there. The rooms look like they are well-made and well-maintained. Overall, the place was clean and nice."

"My mother and father moved to independent living at Windsor Park in 2018. They moved to assisted living, when dad’s health declined, in 2022. When dad passed away, in 2023, they managed to move mom back to independent living within four days, using the preplanned moving service that packed and unpacked for her. All three apartments have been beautiful and exactly what she wanted. She has established friendships that have been crucial for support during her grieving process. She wears a call button around her neck that will bring assistance to her, should she need it. The response time was very short, as she learned when it was accidentally pressed while playing bingo. The dining room and separate grill restaurant are exquisite, serving everything from gourmet food to a hotdog with chips. We have dined with her on several occasions and enjoyed the food and ambiance. In addition to art class, exercise class, Bible study, and bingo, mom has attended grief support group and the parties they throw for any reason anyone can come up with. I have only nice things to say about Windsor Park. I sleep well at night, knowing my mom is living her best life, in a great place. Priceless!"

"I love, love, love living here at Beacon Hill. Living here is one of the BEST decisions I've made. The most spectacular feature here are the residents. I have been here almost one year and have made many friends. Each individual I see is pleasant, sharing kind comments and providing information that I made not know about. They've all been approachable. Additionally there are so many, many activities that it's tough to decide what's the best one for me. There are endless opportunities to become involved. The ambiance added to my decision. When my guests arrive for visits, they are astounded at the warm atmsophere, the inviting environment. The food is beyond discription. Just yesterday I reported to the culinary department that in my 80 years, I have never tasted the turkey meal offered that day. You don't like turkey? There are four-five entres from which to choose. Fish is always available. The soups are thick and tasty. The desserts are plentiful and scrumptious. The staff is gracious, accessible, kind, patient and ordinarily responsive to requests or information. We have a full exercise room and a swimming pool. Beacon Hill is an outstanding and a five-star senior independent living community."

"Oak Crest is a very good place. It's the best in the area and it's also the most expensive. It cost a lot. The initial fee that you're paying in is pretty expensive. But there's no doubt about it, it's the best. Usually the most expensive is the best. That's just the way it works. The staff is very good. They're outstanding. "

"Covenant Living of Northbrook is where my wife and I are moving. It's a great place. My wife's parents lived there. Her father lived there for 20 years. Her mother lived there for 13 years. The people were very welcoming and caring. It fits our lifestyle. The staff was very friendly. I have no complaints at all. We're moving into a cottage home there. It's got a great room, a kitchen about 20 feet by 35 feet, and a shared garage with the neighbor. It's got two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a laundry room, all the appliances, a washer and dryer, stove, microwave oven, regular oven and refrigerator."

"My sister is staying in Oak Trace for long-term skilled nursing. We were impressed with their therapist. They helped her with speech, PT, and occupational therapy. The cleanliness is extremely impressive. We love her room. It's good and independent, not sharing with anybody."

"Both of my parents lived at CBH. They started out in Independent living. After my father passed away my mother went to the 3rd floor. I work in another senior community. I can not say enough about CBH. The care, compassion, cleanliness, activities, encouragement for the residents and family is unbelievable. They are a family, they make everyone who enters feel like family. My mother passed away but I still stop by to see some of the staff that was so kind to me and my parents. "

"My mom is staying in Plymouth Place for rehab. This is a top-of-the-line, higher-end facility. I can't imagine any place would be any better than this. We just got lucky because the hospital allowed us, and there was space available, and we were able to come in here. So, we're fortunate for that. The staff is excellent. They are very attentive. My mother is almost 102 years old, and they are very patient with her and provide good, caring service. The food is excellent."

"This facility is located on the north side of chicago it serves a population of adults who have been diagnoised with a developmental disability. They only provide services to female residents. While there I noticed some of the residents were sharing a room. They have a full clinical staff that provides services to the residents 24 hrs a day. the meals are prepared by the staff, and on special occassions and when doing food activites, the staff will allow the residents to assist in the preparation of the meals. The facility is clean, and well-maintained. The staff is very hands on, and the residents seem to have a closeness with one another. In general, I would rank this facility a 4 out of 5 stars. "

"My wife was at Victory Lakes for her rehab but she passed away last April. The food was fine. The service was excellent. She got to know most of the people there and they took expert care of her. They were very attentive to her to meet her needs. It was just a very pleasant experience. "

"I went to King-Bruwaert House. It's a beautiful, spectacular place that I've known since I was a child. It's beautiful. Beautiful architecture, beautiful trees, beautiful buildings. It's as wonderful as any place could be. I volunteered there. It is in my neighborhood. I've known about it since I was probably seven years old when I was a little Girl Scout. I sang Christmas carols to the old ladies. Now I'm going to be one of the old ladies. A salesman showed me the proposed layout. They've not completed building the apartments yet, and we took a little tour of the area. I've not seen the apartment that I'm going to be living in yet. It's still under construction. The food is fantastic. I've been there for parties. It's fantastic food. They have regular exercise and chair exercise for six days. They have an art room, a gym, a movie theater, and a library. They have a chapel. I guess the only thing they don't have is just a swimming pool, which I would not use anyway. It's a very, very expensive place."
