"I went to look at St. Paul's Senior Community. I like the rooms a lot better because the bedrooms are separated. So even though there are two in a room, it's like you're in your own bedroom. The dining area looks like a really nice place. All of the people there were very nice to work with. The staff was very cooperative, informative, and easy to work with. The facility was very clean and pleasant."

"I toured The Atrium of Belleville. The place itself was fine, but when I went in there I didn't expect to see people walking all over the place with walkers, and it just felt like I was in a nursing home. That was the main thing. Plus, they just had a small elevator for 75 residents. They were standing in line trying to get into the elevator. Their rooms were very nice. The man that took us around was very knowledgeable and very nice."

"I toured Fields of Florissant. I liked the little villas. They were perfect, with a little attached garage. The staff who assisted with the tour were very professional and concerned. She was excellent. I don't have any complaints. The little villas were something that I would really like. It was just too expensive. I think it was like $3,000 a month, and that was a little more than what I wanted to pay. The size of the rooms was nice, and the layout was beautiful. It's private. You had everything that you needed right there."

"Wonderful facility. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of activities and chances to socialize. Extreme clean and beautiful facility. Checked it out for my parents but when the time comes for me to retire, this is where I want to go. "

"My cousin will be moving into Eden Village Retirement Center. Square footage-wise, it was the largest in the price range. My cousin can either buy meals individually or switch to the meal plan. She's starting in independent care. If she reaches a point where she needs assisted living, they will provide it to her in her apartment, so she doesn't have to move into the assisted living section. And then there's also a skilled nursing facility on the same campus. They're remodeling her apartment. It's being repainted, getting new flooring, new light fixtures, and new appliances. They have a variety of programs. They provide transportation for seniors if they need to go anywhere. They have a beauty shop and an exercise room in their facility. They have game rooms and a library. My cousin has a full kitchen that includes a stove, a full-sized refrigerator, and a microwave. It's got a nice courtyard view. There's a fountain, some lovely trees, and walking paths."

"The Gatesworth is a very well-organized and well-run community with many amenities. The staff is courteous and helpful. They serve lunch and dinner and we prepare our own breakfast. We only went there once for breakfast. It was my kind of coffee and my kind of cereal; the other food was respectable. The activities are very good. I'm able to do their fitness and meditation classes, we go to movies, we often hear music, and entertainment comes in."
