"The tour was fine. We just walked around, and we saw the place, and everything looked nice and clean. The person who accommodated me was very informative and she knew everything. The rooms were fine. There's nothing wrong with them. Pretty much every place we toured, they all kind of looked the same. There are no activities right now due to COVID, but they're just getting back to mealtime with two people at a table. There was a little library."

"I want to go to The Gatesworth. It was my taste. It was very comfortable. It wasn't homey, but it was top-notch. It was nice looking. I like the feel of it. David, who accommodated me, was excellent. He was very thorough. He answered all my questions. He provided me with everything I needed. He gave me a complete package, took me all around, and showed me every aspect of the place. The food was good, too. It was well prepared and tasted good. They covered all the bases in terms of activities. They had entertainment spots. They had a happy hour. They had a movie theater. They had a recreational area and a card room. They had a workout space. They had classes for people who needed physical therapy. They had a swimming pool. They have a beautiful outdoor garden, which is the thing that swayed me the most. There are two small ponds and a walkway that goes all around it with lots of beautiful plantings. The thing I liked about it is that it has lots of benches where you could sit outside in the sunlight."

"There are many places to choose for a loved one to live in their senior years, especially now when new construction seems to be everywhere. Garden Villas is a smaller community, with a very caring and attentive staff, which is so important to our family. The staff would do anything for anyone and help out whenever needed, for residents, and other employees if the need were to arise. One of my mother's favorites is a Maintenance Man who even jumps in happily on occasion to help cook breakfast. His specialty is his 'Eggs in a Basket'. The residents I've seen him serve, are thrilled and say it's a favorite. They think he's great and really love him. The staff are talented in many ways and really show how much they enjoy sharing their skills in their mannerisms. It's just a happy atmosphere and we love to visit. We watch how the staff react with the residents and are so happy we chose a place where no matter the situation, we know our mother is in good, caring hands and loves the people around her. She's made close, special friends with both staff and residents and looks forward to attending the meals in the dining room, the variety of activities and especially the frequent outings with them. My siblings and I see the kindness which makes us relieved we chose Garden Villas. Visit and you'll see, it's the happy people, the residents and staff who together make Garden Villas special."

"We went to the Willows at Brooking Park. It was an excellent place. It's very clean and inviting. The people were nice and the whole environment was nice. It's really nice, but it seemed pricey. "

"My mother is in EverTrue Meramec Bluffs in Ballwin. She was in independent living for 10 years, and I would say the facility is set up to take you through your whole end of life. They have townhomes and apartments. It's a whole community set up that way and not just a nursing home for the end of life. It's a large community with a chapel, as it's a faith-driven community. She shares space with one other patient, but they have separate rooms and a shared bathroom, so they don't see each other and have their own personal and private space. I think they take very good care of the facility. Somebody comes and cleans her room every day, and the nursing staff is right outside her door. There are only 18 rooms to a wing, with some of them singles and some doubles. I think she enjoyed the food. They had activities every single day, ranging from bingo a couple of times a week to music programs to art projects. They had outings where they could take residents from assisted living or independent living a couple of times a month, so they offered activities outside of the community as well, going out to restaurants, movies, and concerts. They provide transportation if a friend passes away and a funeral is at another church, for instance. They provide vans to take people to the funerals."

"My husband has moved into Windsor Estates of St. Charles. They just kind of laid out the red carpet for us and helped us get in there. They helped us get accustomed to the place. They have everything there, and they just bend over backwards to make you feel at home and like family. They check on my husband multiple times a day when he's in this room. They ask him if there's anything he needs, or anything he doesn't like. From the administrator to the nurses and the therapy workers, they are the best place I've ever seen in my life. All the residents seem happy. They have Easter egg hunts for them, and they had the Easter Bunny. They have a beauty shop there or a place to get your haircut, they just have everything. They have outside gardens. It is just an amazing place. Whatever you need, the coordinators, the administrators, everybody, will work with you to see that you get it. You're their number one priority, like they don't have nobody else there, just you. It's nice and clean, it just has everything. This one is absolutely awesome. They have bingo, trivia, music night, crafts, coloring, and puzzles. You name it, they do it there. They send out a calendar every month, with daily classes and stuff on it if you want to attend. The family can attend too, and the family can go eat with them. You get served just like they do. To be totally honest with you, they were the cheapest place I found. A lot of cases, it's eight, nine, or ten thousand dollars a month; this place is nowhere near that. It's awesome for what it costs you."
