Right now, my brother is in a nursing home at Village Green of Waterbury. We were there before, and then he was out for a couple of weeks, but now he is back there to get strength. My brother is still weak, but he is getting physical and occupational therapy there. He is also getting manual dialysis four times a day, but he is not able to do much more there until he gets stronger. The staff's work ethic is very good. The rooms are very fine; they're roomy. With regards to food, if you eat in the dining room, it is very nice, but if you eat and get it from the floor below, it is always cold.

The nursing staff is wonderful and great communication. I'm out of state and they call often with updates. But, I do have a problem with how my Dad's funds have been handled in his patients account. I recommend anyone who has a loved one in a nursing home to keep very close watch over how the money is being spent and always ask for an accounting with receipts for all purchases.
