My dad has been goingthere for about 5 years. They are a god send to our family. They are the best facility for memory impaired and people with disabilities you can find. "I LOVE Mary Wade! My husband, the Reverend Godburn, was a patient there several times in the period from October to December 2014. Where to begin? If you need care, RUN to Mary Wade From administration to Nursing to Dining staff, Mary Wade is the best! Did you know, if you (a spouse) are there during meal time, you will be offered a guest tray? And allowed to eat with your spouse? I would be remiss if I did not mention their outstanding LOBSTER SALAD. YUMMY!! Who ever heard of such a thing? Did you know a ride to medical appointments can be arranged, if necessary? May Wade offers a wonderful, thoughtful, caring attitude, during a very stressful time. All of Connecticut should be very proud that Mary Wade is part of our state and community. There is no better facility in the entire country, in my opinion. My husband died in March 2015, and my family and I included thanks to Mary Wade at his service. In short, I LOVE Mary Wade, and I think you will, too! Elna E. Godburn "

"Valerie Manor is a wonderful facility for my grandmother to live in. All the nurses are very friendly and caring and I always feel welcome whenever I visit. They take very good care of my grandmother and make sure all of her needs are met. "

"I am a client of Juniper House for over 12 years. For me, the daycare is a place where I meet very interesting people. We talk a lot about politics, culture and the news. And, in particular, I love the English lessons that they provide. I really like the staff because they always help me in tough and confusing situations. Everyday I receive fresh meals. there's a large variety of food, it's always tasty, there's a lot of fruit and vegetables, and everything you need for a healthy lifestyle. I have a homemaker, and it's great for me because I can't do a lot at home by myself. I'm very please with my homemaker. "

"My father attended the Orchard House for many years before having to go into an assisted living facility. I can't speak highly enough about the Orchard House. The staff, especially MJ, Stephanie and Lisa are exceptional people who have left a lasting impression on me. The care and support they provided for my dad were wonderful. Whenever I asked my father if he liked going there he always said the people were terrific and he liked being there.. They always had great activities that were engaging and stimulating. I found the entire staff to be caring, nurturing and attentive to the needs of my dad and the other people as well. I am grateful that my dad was able to have a caring, nurturing place with extraordinary people who took great care of my dad each day! "

"This faculty is top notch!! My mother in law has been going to the senior day program for a couple years now and the staff have been wonderful with her. She suffers from dementia and has done well here! Candace and Jennifer and Valerie are warm, friendly and compassionate!! I feel my mother in law is safe and in good hands! They offer me suggestions and always keep me informed of her day. They offer many fun activities , meals and my mother in law really enjoys the salsa dancing! Great place and great staff!!!"

"My husband is going to go daycare at Almost Home Adult Daycare. They serve lunch and they have a scheduled program throughout the day. Basically, some of it the VA would pay for it, so that was important for me; I have some help financially. They were very nice. In fact, we stayed four hours, and they had an entertainer who was there, and the people seemed to be comfortable there. The place was very clean, the people were very nice, and they looked like they were being kept busy. "

"I would say that the facility has very clean and well maintained grounds and interior. The seniors are brought outside and assisted with moving around the facility very graciously. The food appeared adequate and the nurses were attentive. There seemed to be some difficulty regarding the loss of personal items from time to time in the rooms but it was not a significant complication. When I visited it was mother's day and the facility was hosting live music. The music was relatively good for the venue and my grandmother was very happy to be able to enjoy it with her family. The space each senior has seems a bit small to me but perhaps they place them based on mobility. My grandmother, being largely immobile, perhaps does not need a whole room to herself that may be why she is placed in a smaller room with a roommate. The room had a window that opened out into the lovely well maintained grounds and it catches the sunlight very well, so I imagine many of the other rooms do as well. "

"My aunt is now at Mozaic Jewish Home. It is absolutely beautiful. It's gorgeous there. It's very clean, too. The food is very good. The staff is very nice. The building is brand new. There are a lot of amenities. You can sit and eat lunch with your family. It's really nice. They have a full rehab staff there. My aunt goes down for physical therapy every week. They have a salon, people come in and do music, they do bingo, and they have shows. There's a gift shop, too. When the other place got shut down, this is where they happened to put her. Then I just put the paperwork in to keep her there because it was so nice. The weekend staff can use a little bit of help, but the staff that is there during the week is lovely. Overall, I would have no problem sending anybody here. It's more expensive than most nursing homes, but it's worth the money. There are outdoor areas to sit with your family and everything."

"The Strong House is an excellent adult daycare center. The staff is warm and caring and professional. The Strong House offers a variety of daily activities to accommodate the various needs of the patients. I highly recommend this facility. One of my clients is early-onset Alzheimer's and she thoroughly enjoys the two days she spends at the Strong House. "

"My mother attended Park City adult day care for 8 years. Without them I could not have gone to work and kept my mom from going to a nursing home. The staff was compassionate and treated my mom with love and respect. I can't say enough about this place. Everyday my Mom would get out of bed and happily wait for the bus to come and pick her up. "
