My dad was at Studio City Rehabilitation Center. I recommend that everybody stays as far away as possible from them. The place is very interested in keeping its residents as long as possible so they can have their money. They gave substandard care. My dad was overmedicated on Valium and painkillers, but he didn't need them. He was unnecessarily given a feeding tube because he was demented and wasn't eating, and it turned out he had a urinary tract infection. The hospital that put the feeding tube in told me that he had bedsores and a urinary tract infection, and this is why he didn't want to eat and was acting irrational because he wasn't being treated for a urinary tract infection. My dad went through four months of hell, and now he is home suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder because of his experience there. They were inconsistent in his physical therapy if he got any at all. He was mostly just sedated and plugged in. When I want to get him out of there, they told me that I had to wait three weeks because it takes three weeks to get home care which turned out to be a flat-out lie; they just wanted to milk three more weeks of insurance money out of him. After I got home care, they told me it only takes a few days. I found the whole experience just awful. Also the food was horrible.
