Let me start by saying that I am not one to leave reviews, but I want to let everyone know what a great experience we had with Rose Place. Lori and the staff at Rose Place were an amazing help in transferring my mom here. Although I had to physically move her, Lori was extremely knowledgeable in helping me understand the process, what my mom needed and what they would provide. This gave my family peace of mind in what was otherwise a pretty complex situation. Alicia presented an organized and clear contract and graciously answered all my questions. There are a lot of activities going on daily and I know my mom will especially enjoy the games and music. They have really turned this place around since last September. The place is very clean and organized and the staff is welcoming and friendly. It seems a lot of these reviews are old and with the old management. I would highly recommend giving Rose Place a call and checking the place out for your loved ones. They really care about the patients and that is very important to me. I know my mom will be well cared for there.

Oasis of Stockton was an older community, so the actual physical facilities were not as nice as the other places I visited. It had an odor to some of the areas, but that's maybe once again a function of being older. The person that we dealt with was very good, very thorough, and very informative. The place itself is older and a little run-down, so I'd rate them a three on that. The physical facilities need some updating.

Villa Marche seemed sterile and bland. I didn't feel like it would be a place that I would want to stay. It wasn't bad though. They have a music room and a television room, but other than that I'm not sure what other activities they provided. However, it seemed OK.

At Villa Marche, as far as memory care, I didn't see anything resembling a program for memory care. I didn’t even see an RN, only certified nurses. The dining area was being remodeled, but it was just a little open space. The rooms were like the rooms other facilities, but I would give the latter a higher grade than I would this place. I was really disappointed. I really felt like someone needs to go in there and check these people out. They took us to the activity room, which was just a room, and it was bowling day, so they had a little wooden bowling set on the table. I was really disappointed. And then the amount of money that they were asking for was unbelievable, and they don’t even have an RN on board. It is just one building, so you go in the door and walk around the whole facility in a square. They have a patio where they can sit out on.

The rooms at Villa Marche are reasonable in size. I wish we could afford to have my mom in a room by herself. It could be cleaner, but the owner is nice, and he does the best he can. They have table bowling, classic bowling pins on the floor, they have music and entertainment come in, and they play cards and bingo as well as different games. We eat there quite often. The food is not terrific. It could be better, but I like it sometimes. The dining area is crowded. They have a really nice inner courtyard that I like.

Clean, good food, friendly owner and administration. Needs front entry cleaned up.
