I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My friend has moved into Buena Vista Care Nursing Homes, and the place is really very good. People are very kind, and my friend is very happy, she really loves it. They have individual rooms. They have 2-bedroom units, and they also have four in one room that is divided by a curtain. The place is very clean and very well-kept. People are very friendly and welcoming at the front desk. Overall, it is a really nice and good place. They have a room where they can watch movies and listen to music. I haven't seen it myself, but I've heard they have a library, and I went past their beauty salon.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The place is clean and the rooms, while Spartan, are decent. This is about the only good thing I can say about this place. My Mother was there for rehab. When I visited, they couldn't find her and I checked the facility and noone could locate her. It turned out they'd taken her to vote, but there was no record of it. Then, when my sister and law visited, again they had lost my Mom and didn't know of her whereabouts in the facility. The staff (sitting at reception desks around the facility) were poor at answering questions. Ultimately, my Mom fell and injured herself there requiring surgery and rehospitaliztion. Once again, the staff wasn't paying any let alone close attention to my Mom. Stay away (unless your loved one is wheelchair bound and not that mobile).

I am/was a resident of this facility

I could not walk or write and could not remember many things. I was severely depressed. Buena Vista saved my life! Scott E. was a God send as my therapist. He would joke with me, get me laughing so the pain of my having to learn how to walk and write again was muted. He would wave at me while I was struggling with trying to learn how to write again. He was the kindest man I have ever met, and so smart! Everyone there was so kind and thoughtful. I was so happy to be able to fail at walking or writing without anyone being critical or commenting. Buena Vista is a wonderful facility. I can now walk and write without help thanks to Buena Vista. I say "Thank you for giving me a new life to go with my new heart!" Liz Lebbos

I am/was a resident of this facility

i was a rehab patient with a broken ankle and unable to walk when I was admitted to Buena Vista. I recently dropped off my thank you letter to the staff there. My experience was first class from their knowledgeable, compassionate nursing staff, to the professional therapists. The place is clean, doesn't smell and food is good. The managers and staff are cheerful, friendly, helpful and most have been there for a long time. They made me feel like I was a family. I was able to return home walking on my home. The therapist even came to my house before I was discharged to check if I would be safe going home. I would go back there again if I needed their services and I certainly recommend Buena Vista to my friends and others.
