"My tour at Claremont Place Senior Living was awesome. I have nothing bad to say about them at all. The director was wonderful, very personable, and gave me extra information. It wasn't just about money. She tried to help me out and showed me the rooms. The rooms were spacious. The director was very comforting. All around, the place was wonderful. I didn't try the food, but they went over the menu with me. They were having lamb or pork spareribs. If you didn't want that, they have a whole list of alternate meals. I was very happy with the dining."

Genesis Manor is a family owned and operated 6 assisted living facility that has been serving the senior community for over a decade. We are proud to say we have cared for over 170 seniors and their families in the 13 years we have been in business. We offer 24/7 Care and Supervision by experienced caregivers, many of whom have been at the same facility since it opened. This provides stability and establishes a bond between our residents and the men and women who provide eldercare for them on a daily basis. All of our caretakers have been background checked and cleared by the Department of Justice Genesis has been in business since 1996. The owner is a registered nurse as well as her three children who work along side her. Doctors, psychiatrist, podiatrist home health and hospice visit all Genesis homes on a regular basis. Hairdressers too. We do not have studio apartments. "My dad is in the memory care of Aqua Ridge of Montclair. We actually toured the facility before he moved in. The staff has been really friendly. They were really accommodating to answer all the questions that we had when we were there. Because it's a newer facility, they look nice, but it looks empty. Everything's clean and well-kept. It's just that because it's a newer facility, I don't see a lot of resident interaction. It's a very nice facility though and the grounds are nice. My impression when I first walked in, was that it kind of reminded me of a nice hotel. I have not tried the food there, and my dad is on a puree diet, but the things that I've seen smelled delicious. When we toured the facility, we were in the memory care, and they were playing a game with the residents where they have a ball and swimming pool noodles, and it looked like they were having so much fun. I know they also did something for the Super Bowl, and I know they're going to be doing something for Mardi Gras, so I see that there are constant activities going on. I know that for Valentine's Day they had asked for a picture to be sent to them and framed them. They've been doing a lot of good activities."

"We moved our mom here 1 1/2 years ago. The ladies and this facility are amazing. We would recommend them to anyone with a family member that has dementia. They treat everyone with dignity and respect. They have 24/7 care. They truly care for the residents in their care. "

"My dad is now here. The staff is very helpful, the facility is nice, and they are timely in responding to the residents. His room has a bedroom, a large bathroom, and a small kitchenette that has a microwave, a refrigerator, and a sink. Because of COVID, they're not using the dining area. Also, because my dad is in hospice, he hasn't really used any of the facilities, but they have fliers posted around of what the daily activities are. I have seen some type of low exercises, cards, games, and walking activity through the building for exercise. They also have programs in the theater there. It's very clean, and the decorations are very nice and updated. The value for money is reasonable in comparison with some of the other facilities that I've looked at, but he seems happy, and he doesn't have any complaints. So that's good so far."

"Pretty much everything I was exposed to was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. They have a courtyard, transportation, and they have a handicapped shower and toilet facility. It's near restaurants, and they provide transportation to my doctor. "

"Oakmont of Chino Hills is an amazing facility. It's absolutely beautiful. The rooms are very cozy, set up a little bit differently, and probably a little more spacious than the current room my dad has. There's a little kitchenette and a living room area in the rooms. The grounds are beautiful, they have a pool, and a spa, so it's pretty extravagant. They have activities. They have a gym, a theater, and a game room. The staff was amazing. She kept in contact with me while I was in the process of deciding, and then she also reached out to me after we had placed him letting me know if there was any issue or if she could be of any help to just call her."

"Emeritus was a nice place and my impression was good. They provided transportation to go to the doctors and shopping. They also had a good dining room. They had enough parking spaces. It was a good place for people who were quite healthy. However, my husband needed more attention and care. If my husband was healthier, he could stay over there. "

"We toured Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. Fantastic. They were great every step of the way. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We talked about what I perceived my parents' needs were. She had some very good advice. She had just kind of gone through the same thing with her grandmother, and so she was very helpful on the advice. The facility was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were top of the line, very, very nice, and esthetically very pleasing. It's a newer facility, so the rooms look high end and luxurious. The amenities include doing the laundry, food, and activities set up for the people. They had a gorgeous and huge library. I was surprised at how big the library was there. There were lots of sitting areas and games. It was a very inviting atmosphere. They did send home some baked goods, so my wife enjoyed those very much. I would like to move there myself."

"Everything was really beautiful at Brookdale Monrovia (formerly The Gables of Monrovia), but I thought the room that was available was a little bit small. I come from a big house, and it is hard to visualize myself in a tiny space. The people were so nice. They even brought me a free dinner one night. They had excursions once a week. I thought it was nice. I really liked it except for the room. "
