HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My sister was placed there after "acting goofy in public" in Marin, WHERE WE LIVE, about 3 hours away by car! She was involuntarily kept there, as if being punished with a jail sentence - eventhough obviously doing very well and very coherent. She was allowed passes to go to church but only 3 days a week. We expected her back, waiting patiently. It was difficult to contact her by phone, usually staff refused to conect, and she was not allowed to call us, because "it's long distance." Then one day 12/4/12 we get a call saying she died, after being hospitalized in a nearby hospital since 11/15/12! When asked WHY they didn't tell us she was hospitalized, they said "WE DIDN'T KNOW ANYBODY CARED(!)(?) We are ENRAGED AND TOTALLY DISGUSTED!
