Mom is at The Ellison John Transitional Care Center. Every day, they took her in and worked out with her. They do an excellent job. They have great equipment to use there, and they're very gentle with Mom. On some days, if she was not feeling well, they could come back and do it later, or it's OK to skip it. They're very friendly. She's been in a couple of rooms because they've had to move her around. Most of the rooms are for two patients. Some have beds across from each other, and those were fairly large. The one she is in now is a single. They all come with a little dresser, a bathroom, and a closet. Every room has a window so you can look outside and have fresh air. They are nice rooms. Upkeep is excellent. You always see somebody cleaning the hallways or the rooms. If you're a picky eater, their food is going to be rough for you because there are three square meals. Some people may not like that. There is not a lot of sugar and fat, but they're pretty good. They don't serve the same thing all the time. The menu is always changing. They have five different activities every single day for those who want to participate. They even have nails and a little beauty salon to get your hair done. It's very nice.

My aunt was staying here following a knee replacement. The first night, they put her in a room with a patient that was known to be combative. She had a terrible first day, but was able to move into another room. During her stay, there was a covid lockdown, so she got no physical therapy. She was actually weaker when she left than when she arrived, post-surgically. She lost 10 pounds due to the food being terrible. The icing on the cake was that she caught scabies there. Although she said the nursing staff was nice, they are way understaffed, and are not attentive.

I'm in The Ellison John Transitional Care Center. It's very good, and I'm very happy with it. The nurses are wonderful, it's a beautiful place to be, and they take care of things. If there's any kind of problem, or anything, they will address it, and take care of it. I think it's excellent. I have nothing to complain about, it's beautiful, and brand new. The food is good.
