Verona Court XIII

My sister moved into Verona Court XIII of Parentis Health. It's a board and care home with six residents. They have two caregivers on duty all the time in the home, and a nurse who goes every day, once or twice a day, to the homes. They have single rooms. They have a woman who comes twice a week and another one who comes once a week. And they do trivia, music, and things like that. All the homes are beautiful, and there are 13 homes. They're very conscientious and make sure that she has what she needs. She needs total help. She has a Hoyer lift to get to the bathroom, and she can't stand up by herself. She can't even stand up with anybody else because she's fairly heavy, and so it's hard to hold her up. So she needs extreme care, 100%. They have to have different people for the night. The food is healthy, but they're just not great. Everything is from scratch; it's always healthy, but sometimes too much starch, things like that. She has her own bathroom, and it's in her room, so that's much nicer. They have the activities, and then I've hired somebody to come once a week. And then she has therapy once a week on Zoom, just to help her adjust to things. She has a psychiatrist once a month. So she's got more contacts than a normal person has. But their activities are just three times a week for 45 minutes. That's not a lot. I think that they're probably commensurate with other places. I think it's a lot of money.

We're in discussions with Ivy Glenn Terrace III. The facility was fine. It felt like it would meet my father's needs. It was clean and the living room was open and warm. The guests were eating when I was there and the caregivers were in the kitchen at the time attending to their needs. It wasn't my favorite interior out of all the places I visited, but the people there made it seem very warm and caring. They have people who come in once a week to do activities there.

I was able to tour all 3 homes with Matt and I just think they are all wonderful. The rooms are spacious and nice. The staff were all very kind to me and seemed really good with the residents. All the residents seemed comfortable and happy which is what I was looking for. All the homes were so beautiful. Landscaping was nice, backyards were nice which is important for me because as Im trying to make my decision on where to help place my mother Im taking all of this into consideration. Matt was such a pleasure to work with, making me feel instantly at ease. I look forward to placing my mom with Ivy Glenn. Thanks June

My aunt has been in Ivy Glenn Terrace III for about two months now. It's been great. It's a very nice facility. It's very clean and the rooms are nice. They have their own bathroom. The care is great. She has her own room, and it's clean. The staff is amazing.
